From the functional hood scoops in the carbon fiber hood (which help to dramatically lower the temperatures of the supercharger and engine by as much as 100F) to the best type of tire to use, we left no stone unturned. When it came to selecting a wheel partner, Shelby chose WELD Racing. The new Venice wheels WELD developed for the Shelby GT are CNC-machined from a single block of 6061-T6 aluminum and at only 28lbs and over 1,700lbs in Rotational Movement of Inertia (RMOI), these are the strongest wheels by weight that Shelby’s ever run. 13 Shelby American Newsletter | Fall/Winter 2015 Polished Black Machined Black The 20” Shelby GT Venice Wheels are available in 3 iterations: Black, Machined Black, and polished Aluminum and perfectly complement the new (and old) Mustangs with 9.5” in the front and 10.5” in the rear. The original band clamp may become loose over time and cause pressure reading errors.
