ST. CHARLES 2020 CHALLENGE GRANT We have a NEW and exciting opportunity to earn a Challenge Grant for St. Charles School for $11,250 to use toward helping more families with financial aid next year! Now you can DOUBLE your impact because all donations will be MATCHED dollar-for-dollar! This matching grant was recently offered to us by CSCOE (Catholic School Center of Excellence). CSCOE understands that many families may need more financial aid than they have in past years. If we raise $11,250 this summer, then CSCOE will match this amount up to $11,250 to be used toward scholarships for families in need. This is an opportunity to support our school, our families, and take advantage of this generous matching grant from the Schulze Family Foundation. St. Charles has the opportunity to grow our mission and our enrollment even through these difficult times. This is an all-or-nothing grant! We have until August 31, 2020, to raise $11,250 and receive the matching grant amount. If we fall short, we will not receive the matching grant. We are confident we can meet and exceed this goal demonstrating we are truly invested in our community and our children’s future. Please prayerfully consider contributing what you can at this time. Any amount will help us reach our goal! Thank you in advance for your support for St. Charles School! & Liturgy

Used Uniform Sale Need uniforms for the upcoming school year? The Home and School Council is hosting the annual used uniform sale on Monday, August 17 from 5-7 pm in the school cafeteria. We hope to see you there! PRAYER OPPORTUNITIES PRAY FOR OUR PARISH: Our parish map is slowly but surely filling up! If you haven't already committed to praying for an address, or block of addresses for the next year please consider committing to the conversion of our parish boundaries through the charity of your prayers. Some rough counting and math shows that we have roughly 26% of our parish boundaries being prayed for individually and daily. This means we are adding about 2.5% per week. Let's get this filled up quickly so more and more grace can be poured forth on our community! Families, individuals, teens, youth, retired, everybody can dedicate 30 seconds of prayer per address. Let's be a great sign of hope for our culture. Thank you all! St. Charles Borromeo, pray for us! Let's get the whole map blued-out for Mary!

PRAY THE ROSARY: Pope St. John Paul II said that, "To pray the Rosary is to hand over our burdens to the merciful hearts of Christ and His mother." Our world is greatly burdened and in need of great hope and salvation. Each Sunday, sometime in the afternoon or evening, grab your beads and walk your streets for your neighbors and your neighborhoods, for as St. Dominic said, “One day, through the Rosary and the Scapular, Our Lady will save the world.” SIGN UP FOR SUNDAY MASS at stchb.org

As St. Charles parishioners and more deeply, as Catholics, we have many reasons for tremendous hope. One that can be made so very public is the recitation of the rosary with beads in hand. Perhaps you don't even realize how many Catholics are in your neighborhood. Starting this weekend, join the whole community of believers by publicly praying for your neighborhood. Every Sunday, sometime in the afternoon or evening, we encourage you to grab your favorite beads, put on your walking shoes and get out onto the sidewalks! If we all go at a similar time you will not only provide a substantial witness and sign of hope for your non-Catholic neighbors, but you will be encouraged by how many Catholics live in your neighborhood!

 Begin your rosary walk sometime during the 3:00 pm hour every Sunday

 Walk alone or with friends or family

 Pray quietly or aloud

 Keep your beads out

 Share hope and give a smile

 Build your local culture into one of faith, hope, charity and life!
