Built in 1844, our beautiful old cotton warehouses are steeped in Manchester’s rich industrial
heritage, boasting solid oak beams, steel columns and impressive exposed brickwork arches
throughout the hotel, creating the perfect back drop for any wedding theme.
Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, our hotel’s namesake, had a story of true, everlasting love. Shortly after their engagement, Albert wrote;
“I need not tell you that since we left, all my thoughts have been with you at Windsor,
and that your image fills my whole soul. Even in my dreams I never imagined that I
should find so much love on earth.”
On their wedding day, Queen Victoria famously wore a white, lace dress, contrary to the expected colourful dresses of the time, and in turn started a symbolic tradition which is still on going to this day.
Our event rooms retain many of the original details reflecting the hotel’s Victorian façade. We can host
up to 240 guests, provide multimedia and sound facilities and have the flexibility to configure any
room to suit your needs.
From your initial enquiry until the moment your special day ends,
our in house wedding planner will use their expert knowledge to create
a day that is unique to you. Everything from event scheduling, to colour theming and entertainment,

The Victoria Suite
This intimate and beautiful suite is perfect for smaller ceremonies and wedding receptions.
With gorgeous exposed brick and plenty of natural daylight, it can be transformed into the
wedding location of your dreams.
With maximum seating for 50 guests for both ceremony and reception in the Victoria Suite, the cosy lounge provides the perfect space for your evening entertainment. This charming suite has everything you need to celebrate your special day with your nearest and dearest.
To top it all off, the Victoria suite also comes with its own private terrace area overlooking the hotels landscaped grounds and the tranquil river Irwell, perfect for relaxing on a balmy
summers evening after your sumptuous wedding breakfast.
The John Logie Baird Suite
Named after the famous Scotsman who invented the television, this suite is a nod to our
former neighbours, Old Granada Studios, another part of Manchester’s rich and colourful
heritage which we are incredibly proud of.
The JLB Suite, as we like to call it, is the beautiful blank canvas you need to create your perfect day. With the space to seat up to 240 guests, and our beautiful Atrium with its own
private bar, this space can be incredibly versatile to suit any occasion.

Civil Ceremonies
You may find it more convenient and relaxing to hold both you marriage
ceremony and reception at the Manchester Marriott Victoria and Albert hotel.
Our civil wedding ceremony licence allows us to offer you our event rooms at a
room charge of £300.00.
To help the organisation of your ceremony, certain formalities need to be observed:
