SHRI RAHUL KASWAN Will the Minister of WATER RESOURCES, RIVER DEVELOPMENT AND GANGA REJUVENATION be pleased to state: (a) whether any proposals regarding declaration of certain irrigation projects as national projects are pending with the Government; (b) if so, the details of such proposals especially in respect of Rajasthan; and (c) the action taken so far or proposed to be taken in this regard? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR WATER RESOURCES, RIVER DEVELOPMENT AND GANGA REJUVENATION & PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS (SHRI ARJUN RAM MEGHWAL) (a) to (c) Sixteen projects in the country have been declared as National Project as per the guidelines of the scheme. Further, the State Governments from time to time send requests for inclusion of the projects in the scheme of National Projects. However, their inclusion depends upon appraisal/approval by Advisory Committee of Ministry of Water Resources, RD & GR from techno-economic angle, investment clearance, fulfillment of criteria of the scheme of National Projects, availability of funds etc. The status of requests received from the State Governments in this regard is as under: S. (c): Ministry of Tourism has granted Central Financial Assistance to Government of Rajasthan under the National Missions of Swadesh Darshan and Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) to enrich the tourist experience, to increase the opportunity for employment, attract the domestic and foreign tourist to visit these destinations, to improve the connectivity and improve the thematic tourism circuits in the country. The list of projects sanctioned under Swadesh and PRASHAD Schemes are given at Annexure-II. Short promotional films on various destinations and products have been produced by the Ministry to showcase Rajasthan as preferred tourist Destination. Additionally a dedicated photoshoot of Rajasthan as a tourist destination has been undertaken. Monuments of Rajasthan have been promoted through annual promotional Calendar of the Ministry. Publicity material has been produced by the Ministry, the same has been disseminated through Domestic and Overseas India Tourism Offices.

Under the eCourts Project 13,323 courts have been computerized by st 31 October, 2014. Computerization of courts would enable the courts to exercise greater control over management of cases in the docket. It will also provide designated services to the litigants and the lawyers. In order to reduce government litigation in courts the Central Government has encouraged the States to notify their litigation policies which contain provisions for weeding out infructuous cases and promote dispute resolution through alternative mechanisms.
