In other words, do all that we reasonably can even if there is no perfect protection from the virus.

PREPARING TO ATTEND SUNDAY MASS, PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING: 1. Registration is required for attendance at all of the Masses so that we can limit the congregation to a count of 50. The contact information, which you provide by phone, email, or on-line registration, is retained in our parish office for 30 days. Should there be an outbreak, the Interior Health Authority and the B.C. Ministry of Health need to be able to contact people who may have been infected. Bishop Gregory Bitmann has continued the dispensation from the obligation to attend SundayMass. What that means is that if you are not confident in the safety of environments outside of your home, you need not heroically venture out. There are three ways to register for one of the three Masses, with your name and telephone number:  by on-line registration link (each person individually, include your name and telephone number in the box). From the parish office, you will receive an email with a new link each week, by Monday morning, for the following weekend Masses.  by email, including your name and telephone number, to the parish office [email protected]  by telephone, Monday to Friday 9:30 AM to 12 Noon (we will also check the voicemail) At the church, please confirm your registration with the usher in the church foyer to verify your attendance. It is helpful if people avoid arriving just a few minutes before Mass. The only entrance is through the main door (near the confessional). Ushers will be alert if the wheel-chair ramp is needed. Hand sanitizer is to be used when entering and exiting the church. 2. Wear a mask and wash and sanitize hands regularly. 3. Stay at home if you are not well, and stay at home if your health is compromised with other conditions and you feel vulnerable to germs. 4. Stay apart from each other by 2 meters. 5. At the door of the church the usher will greet you and direct you to the registration table. Verify your attendance. Disinfect your hands using the dispenser available. 6. Seating in the church will have two people in one pew (one at either end), followed by one person in the middle of the pew behind you, followed by another pew with two people, followed by a pew with one person in the middle of the pew. 7. When seated in the pew there should be a 10 cm piece of green masking tape in front of you. Observing this seating plan will ensure a comfortable maximum attendance in the church. 8. There are no holy water fonts in the church at this time. The vigil candles and electronic lights at the are not available to reduce hand contact on surfaces. You may request the lighting of candles - details in the bulletin. 9. There will be no Sunday collection in the usual manner. You may place your offering in the basket as you enter the church before taking your seat. 10. Washrooms. Please use the facilities at home before leaving for Mass. Obviously the less surface-contact you share with others, the better for all. We know that for some, nature will call while at Mass. The available washroom is the one off of the Msgr. Flynn Room. You are to sanitize your hands before entering the loo. Keep your mask on while using the toilet. When done, hands are to be washed with warm water and soap for 20 seconds. As you leave, the door is to be left ajar to facilitate air exchange. The light is to be left on. 11. Holy Communion will be received after the Communion prayer and final blessing. Ushers will direct the people sitting in the south-side (your right side facing the altar) pews first. Those on the north side (your left) will wait until the south section has received. There are green tape lines marking approximately 2 meters distance in the main aisle. As you approach the priest at the front, lower your mask and extend your arms fully in front of you, with hands flat, as usual. Receiving Communion on the tongue is not an option at this time; neither will there be an option to receive Holy Communion from the chalice. 12. After you receive Holy Communion, exit to your right and leave the church via the doorway to the alley. Please do not return to your seat (here we apply the same theory as shopping in the stores —- keep people moving in the same direction). An usher will have bulletins available at the exit. The printed bulletins will not be available prior to Mass. ~Fr. Peter

R.A.M.S. Perhaps the acronym RAMS will help us remember just four things that each of us needs to do before attending Mass and while attending Mass inside the church. There will be more liturgical directives while you are in the church. The Mass will be different and we will feel some disruption from the usual rites and routines. Register for the Mass you wish to attend (phone or link or email) Apart from each other by 2 meters at all times Masks to be worn while in church (can be non-medical masks) Sanitize your hands entering and exiting the church NATIONAL HEALTH CARE WEEK LIFE CHAIN ACROSS NORTH AMERICA From 04 to 10 October, we observe National Catholic Sunday, 04 October (in addition to being the Feast Day of Health Care Week across .
