RIDER 2016 (Any questions, please, contact John Domagall (Agent) @ © 651.208.3918, (o) 651.483.8754 [email protected] ) HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS Promoter to provide five (5) king single hotel rooms at a nationwide chain [i.e. Hilton, Hyatt, Holiday Inn, Marriot, Sheraton. Room to include WIFI and breakfast at no cost to artist. Early check in or late check outs to be provided if necessary during advance. Hotel accommodations will need to be provided for two (2) nights, if there’s a day off between shows or the show is booked the first night of the run, please refer to contract.. TRANSPORTATION TRAVEL PARTY & AIRPORT PICK UP / DROP OFF Please meet us directly right out of baggage claim, arrival times and flight numbers as per advance. Please let us know name and phone number of pick up contact/ driver. Travel party band & crew: 5 - Please be prepared to safely transport the following baggage: 5 large size suitcase, 5 pieces of equipment (guitars, cymbal case, ABS 19" racks), 5 laptop trolley bags Please provide air conditioned vehicles with comfy seating and a seat to passenger ratio of at least 1.5. For any drives longer than 20 minutes, have bottled still water available. LOCAL TRANSPORTATION /RUNNER FOR SHOW DAY Please make sure runner has one clean, late model van (e.g. 15 passenger van with one rear bench seat removed) to shuttle band and crew from/to hotel, from/to venue or airport. The runner will be needed for transporting artists, crew members, and various shopping trips from 12:00 pm on (or time of venue get in, if different). The runner should be advised not to smoke or to talk on his/her cell phone during driving. The runner has to be a professional English speaking, safe driver, well familiar with the area and businesses (which means, he will be able to find the venue, hotel, local shops on the way without calling for help....) and should have GPS on board. MARQUEE Please make sure, that BEFORE we arrive the headline on the venue's marquee says DOKKEN. HOSPITALITY Breakfast At hotel. Dinner Promoter to provide 5 healthy meals consisting of choice of soup/salad for starter, main course consisting of organic beef, chicken or pork dish, with rice or potatoes or pasta, choice of vegetables. Time tba by tour manager. If meal is not prepared in house, please provide various menus to tour manager on arrival. Meal to be served at proper dining table, no plastic or Styrofoam utensils and plates, please. Dressing room ALL COLD ITEMS MUST BE ICED DOWN AND IN DRESSING ROOM 2 HOURS PRIOR TO SHOWTIME 2 6 Pack Coke 4 Bottles Gatorade-- Blue or Red 2 6 Pack Heinekens 1-Pint Jack Daniels 1 Bottle Jim Beam 1 bottle good red wine Cabernet or Merlot (Copola or BV) 2 Bottles Perrier Water 1-Bag mixed nuts 1 vegetable tray w/ dip 24 Plastic cups 6 large bath towels 12 medium sized stage towels (single color, no plaid or stripes, preferably black) LOTS OF ICE After show in dressing room: If available KFC Chicken or 2 Large Pizza [1 x mushroom & cheese, 1 x ham & cheese] AUDIO REQUIREMENTS FOH PA SYSTEM - PA system of the size and capacity to completely cover the venue and capable to produce a clean SPL level of 108 dB/A from 20 Hz to 20 kHz A-weighted and slow response at the FOH mix position. - Preferred systems are: ADAMSON, d & b, L Acoustics, MEYER or EAW - ***ALL FOH PA PROCESSING MUST BE AT THE FOH MIX POSITION AND ACCESSIBLE TO DOKKEN’S FOH ENGINEER. THIS IS NON NEGOTIABLE*** If local restrictions or regulations are in place, DOKKEN’s management, tour- and production management need to be informed in advance with copy of the legal document requiring these restrictions or limitations. Measurements can only be accepted if professional equipment (Radio Shack type 40.--$ non calibrated DB meter will not be accepted) is used for this and measurement type is LEQ Type (measurement over entire show time). System needs to be calibrated with legit calibrator in presence of DOKKEN’s FOH engineer. Artists’ production manager shall determine number of boxes to ensure adequate & proper coverage of all audience areas. The system has to be totally hum and buzz-free and properly grounded for maximum safety of artists and crew working on stage! Please send us detailed house specs or a complete equipment list from your vendor (feel free to pass our e-mail address over for direct contact) or the vendors contact details. FOH Console: If digital: Digidesign/AVID Profile or SC48, S3L If analog: MIDAS H3000, 2000, XL4, YAMAHA PM 4000, PM 5000 Analog console requires outboard gear. For number of necessary noise gates, compressors, reverbs, delays and graphic equalizers please refer to the attached input list. MON Console: DOKKEN does not travel with monitor engineer. We will require a local monitor tech to assist, therefore the choice of console is up to this person. The console needs to have at least 12 pre fade monitor sends, 32 input channels. Reverb is needed for the IEM mixes. DOKKEN will require 2 SENNHEISER IEM systems, set up for stereo mixes (please refer to stage plot attached). A short guideline for the individual mixes (for number of wedges, side fills please refer to stage plot) to help with a starting point: In Ear mix Don: Dominating lead vox, moderate mix of both backing vocals, a bit of guitar, a bit of ambience, a bit of vocal reverb In Ear mix Mark: Dominating bass and SR vox, solid Kick, SN, Hat, a bit of guitar and lead vox Side fills: Kick, SN, Hats at moderate levels and without excessive low end, dominating lead vocal, a bit of backing vocals. Guitar on SR, a bit of bass on stage left if stage. Drum fill: Dominating drum vocal and kick (once again, no boomy stuff, please), SR backing vocal (important for harmonies), a bit of guitar, bass and lead vocal SR mix: Dominating SR vocal, drum vocal (for harmonies), a solid kick, snare and hat, a bit of guitar SL mix: a solid kick, snare and hat, a bit of bass, all vocals evenly Center mix: Dominating lead vocals, both backing vocals at moderate level, a bit of guitar STAGE & LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS DOKKEN requires a clean, even stage, and free of any obstacles, unnecessary house gear, dimmer racks or other obtrusions on arrival with the following dimensions: Width: minimum 30’ Depth: minimum: 18’ Height: minimum 3’ Minimum clearance: 16’ Please provide pipe for 30’x24’ backdrop Solid and capable of carrying weight of 500kg/m2. Please send us your exact measurements to review. Sides and back of the stage to be draped black, no advertisements, logos in the immediate stage area! One drum riser 8’x8’x2’, carpeted and skirted black. For safety reasons we recommend professional blow-through type barricades in front of the stage and around the FOH position. NO AUDIENCE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SPEAKERS. **NO EXCEPTIONS** As we do not travel with our own LD on most fly dates, we do not specify the lighting, but expect a fully functioning house lighting rig with adequate front light. We will require the service of a local lighting tech, familiar with the type of music. Nothing flashy, but with a theatrical approach Artists should be clearly visible, except in black outs between songs (no smoke machines, water based hazers are fine). ANY COLOR IS ACCEPTABLE.) Hardware: 4 x straight cymbal stands 1 x heavy boom cymbal stand 1 x three legged hi hat stand with swivel leg (needs to pull out high!!!) 2 x DW kick double pedal with hard plastic beaters 2 x snare drum stands 1 x drum throne (sturdy) 1 x medium sized cooling fan 1 set top of the line SABIAN or PAISTE cymbals consisting of: 1 x 14”set of hi hats 1 x 22” heavy or ping ride 3 x 18”-20” crash Please make sure, all drums, pedals, hardware are in excellent working order. New heads on batter side are mandatory. Vocals - Don Dokken 2 x SENNHEISER or SHURE top of the line wireless microphone system (If SENNHEISER 845 capsule, If SHURE BETA 87 or 58 capsule) 1 x SENNHEISER EW 300-G3 IEM system with belt pack and batteries (Don will bring own ear buds) .
