UBC Department of Medicine University of British Columbia Department of Medicine 2011 Annual Report Annual 2011 2011 ANNUAL REPORT MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR, CONTENTS DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE Message from the Chair, Department of Medicine 1 Executive Committee 4 am very pleased to present the 2011 annual report of the Department of Medicine at the University of British Strategic Directions 2011 5 I Columbia. The UBC Department of Medicine houses 513 Strategic Directions 2010 – Progress Update 8 clinical faculty and 116 academic faculty members in its 17 divisions distributed among several teaching hospitals Administration 14 and University sites throughout the Province, and over 400 Research 16 postgraduate trainees and fellows in Core Internal Medicine and in the medical specialties and subspecialties. Members Standing Committees 17 of the Department supervise over 175 graduate students through the Experimental Medicine Program. The Department Division Reports University of British Columbia remains the largest in the Faculty of Medicine and the largest AIDS 19 Department of Medicine single department at the University of British Columbia.
