On behalf of NHS Cannock Chase CCG, we can confirm that the PCN approval process is currently underway. All GP surgeries in Staffordshire have submitted applications to be part of a Primary Care Network and these were approved and confirmed by a panel by 31 May 2019.

However, under Section 22 of the FOI Act, as these applications now need to be formally approved and signed off by the Primary Care Commissioning Committee for governance purposes, it would not be appropriate to share information as to their members or Clinical Directors at this stage until details have been finalised. The Primary Care Commissioning meeting took place on 20 June 2019. If there is approval of the minutes in July 2019, the information would be available once the minutes have been ratified. However, if there is any debate or discussion which requires follow up, this would result in further delay.

Right of appeal

Should you require any further information or clarification regarding this response, or do not feel that your request has been answered as you would expect, please contact the FOI team to discuss. However, if you remain dissatisfied with the service you have received in relation to your request and wish to request a review of our decision, this can be formally requested in writing and must be within a reasonable period of time (two calendar months) from the date this response was issued

Initially you should write to the freedom of information officer, either by email on [email protected] or post to Jubilee House, Lancashire Business Park, Leyland, PR26 6TR, specifying why you feel you have been wrongly denied access to the information requested. The freedom of information team will make sure your request is investigated by an
