Elizabeth Carlton Chase "Speaking to the membership department on KPCC during their current fund drive, I very clunkily expressed myself in a dorky way that might be read on-air. So, let me clarify here: If you live in Southern California (or even if you don't, but have streaming capabilities) and you love NPR, you should definitely be aware of this wonderful station and all of the people involved. Joshua and I have been sustaining members for years, now, and we both find the programming indispensable. Santa Monica's KCRW is our other NPR love and our home for music, but KPCC is our "home station," and one of our few choices for reliable news. We are both storytellers, and KPCC is not just about investigative reporting and current events, but also about culture, and real PEOPLE - sharing their real stories. Check out KPCC at 89.3 FM, and please consider supporting them and becoming a member. Join us! “

Some appreciation for a Take Two segment on Lent Julieta Ramierz “Amazing piece on Lent. Kudos! What wonderful music, comments, and production. You made me late for work… sitting in my car.” https://www.facebook.com/kpcc/posts/10154369886833016

Also, some special love for Libby Denkman (she is v. popular among our social audience) Dr. Jay Aguda “Pleasantly surprised to hear @libdenk on #morningedition on my drive! Welcome back! @KPCC” https://twitter.com/jayraguda/status/847111596845387776

Nicole Childers “It was so lovely to hear @libdenk on @KPCC this week, hosting the local morning edition drive!” https://twitter.com/mediagyrl/status/847853388670746624

Marvin J Ramirez “@libdenk Yay! Libby is back! Nice to hear you again this morning. Have a great day” https://twitter.com/MarvinJ1960/status/847058032462893056

Hello my name is Marian Bodnar and I’m the organizer of an indivisible group in Orange County. District 39. . . I’m calling about regarding the piece that was just on. . .regarding indivisible groups. The piece was not very well balanced and seemed to portray indivisible groups as rather disruptive and divisive and that is not the case. I was not very happy with the particular piece that was done. The reporter did not seem to have done enough research on either the groups’ goals nor how we all operate. One of the things is we adhere to peaceful protests, non-disruptive. And I’m just calling to make a comment that it was not a well-balanced or thought out interview. Nor did they interview anyone from an indivisibles. Thank you.

Hi my name is Julie Fullerton. I'm a listener on the Westside, the border of Santa Monica. I just wanted to let you know that I haven't been able to get reception for the station all day today, in my car. I have two different radios in my house and I went on the website to see if you had any notification of something going on and I don't see anything. I could still obviously get it through the app but I just wanted to make sure that you were aware that we don't seem to be getting the signal on the Westside today. Okay thanks so much bye bye. Hello my name is Lorie Earlensson, I am a member already and I’m calling because I’m quite upset . . . I was listening to KPCC in the car which I almost always do . . . I don’t know what the show was but there was someone named Maya . . . she was talking about a women’s clinic in texas, she was talking about two people, one who was pro choice and one who was anti . . . And I was extremely upset because she kept calling it an abortion clinic. There’s no such thing as an abortion clinic. There’s no such thing as something that only does abortions. There are women’s clinics, and she very specifically said that this clinic provides other services to women, so please, please, please, please get your entire outfit to stop using the term abortion clinic. That is a term created by the anti-choice people years ago . . .they had a whole vocabulary. . . Just because they managed to get the media to use it, you need to stop it on your station, please . . .”

My name is Deanne, and I have been a donor to KPCC and I’m an avid listener. I’m calling because of the information you’ve been giving out on Proposition S. You have been very one sided. You guys are reporting it very incorrectly and it makes me think that your siding or taking money from the big developers that are supporting S. And as a person who is about ready to be evicted by a developer I am asking that you do a lot more diligent research on the S proposition. Absolutely, this needs to be passed here in Los Angeles. Proposition S needs to be given a much better fair shake, at least from your radio. You are not representing it at all fairly. You are quoting people from the opposition S but yet you do not have anyone on the “for” side of Proposition S speaking. And I am very disgruntled by KPCC by not doing a fair job in representing this wonderful proposition that needs to pass . . . . please, please do a better job with Proposition S and present it more fairly, thank you

RE: Reporting on Measure S (starts 1/3 way in) “I think you’re totally allowing the local politicians to frame the argument. And you have to do better reporting, you just have to. And why are you not even mentioning 4th and 5th amendment issues regarding zoning, how people can sell zoning. How would you like the city to sell zoning for your next door neighbor so they can build a 20 story building? How would that affect your property value?

Just so happy to have Terry Gross back every day at a time when I'm likely to be listening. Larry then Terry - an embarrassment of riches. Thanks.

A few years back when A. Martínez started hosting Take Two I was hesitant of him - a sports commentator? But I was wrong - A. Martínez is a great host - and I find his questioning smart and probing. I just wanted him to know that I think he's doing great.

Too little, too late. Breitbart News, the Drudge Report, & InfoWars are now the official state-run media. But you guys -- feel free to keep reporting on the latest trends in LA & other trivia rather than in-depth reporting on anything substantive. KPCC has On the Media on at 10pm Sunday night, seriously?!?!

I am disappointed to see that I can no longer comment as a guest in the airtalk discussion/comment thread. I don't want to have to register with "disqus" to do so. Thanks Where is Alex Cohen? KPCC website still has her as "co-host" of TAKE TWO. I thought she was going to be in Steve Julian's position starting yesterday.

Loves Take Two misses Alex What is new in the Ukraine? In Syria? In Yemen? In Europe? In other words, does everything have to be about Trump? Us?
