A key component of this strategy has been a significant fleet transition as we’ve taken on more than 150 new E175 aircraft, completed the sale of ExpressJet Airlines and moved forward with a smaller, more efficient footprint. Our ability to execute these significant changes as we accept new aircraft and transition others is only made possible through the dedication and good work of our more than 14,000 employees. Our customers and the industry continue to expect and demand exceptional safety, reliability and service. We believe the progress we’ve made at SkyWest uniquely positions us to deliver better than any other airline in our space. Our operational and cultural successes continue to drive demand for our product, and our pilot availability and fleet flexibility make us well positioned to deliver on that demand. During 2019, we secured substantial market share wins and continued to enhance our partners’ confidence in the SkyWest product. We reached new and extended agreements with our partners throughout the year, solidifying a key component of our strategy to mitigate tail risk and maintain the flexibility necessary to adapt and quickly respond to what our partners need and have come to expect from SkyWest Airlines. We also continued monetizing our assets within our leasing operation during 2019. Demand for engines remains especially strong, and our leasing business continues to demonstrate SkyWest’s creativity and ability to utilize the assets within our operational footprint profitably while maintaining a clear focus on our contract partnerships. Much uncertainty has been introduced into the US economy in early 2020 as a result of the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and we are not immune to this. As we look ahead to the rest of 2020 and beyond, we don’t know what the economic environment will look like, but we remain very focused on a few key areas that make up the foundation of our current and future success. We believe our competitive advantage is and will continue to be our ability to provide best in class operations, maintain strong liquidity, and invest for the future. We believe as we remain firm in our execution of these objectives, SkyWest will continue to deliver on its mission for employees, our customers and our investors. We want to thank our team of professionals for their good work in delivering exceptional performance and world-class service to our more than 40 million passengers last year. 13MAR200820562581 6MAR201519070928 Jerry C. NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: Investor Relations Corporate Communications 435.634.3200 435.634.3553 [email protected] [email protected] SkyWest, Inc. Announces Second Quarter 2020 Results Second Quarter Results • Net loss of $26 million, pre-tax loss of $33 million, or $0.51 loss per share • SkyWest took delivery of 21 used E175 aircraft under a previously-announced agreement with United Airlines • SkyWest took delivery of two new E175 aircraft and three used E175 aircraft under a previously-announced agreement with Delta Air Lines ST. GEORGE, UTAH, July 30, 2020 -- SkyWest, Inc. (NASDAQ: SKYW) (“SkyWest”) today reported financial and operating results for Q2 2020, including net loss of $26 million, or $0.51 per share, compared to net income of $88 million, or $1.71 per diluted share, for Q2 2019. The primary factor in SkyWest’s lower results in Q2 2020 compared to Q2 2019 was reduced flight schedules and lower demand resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Commenting on the results, Chip Childs, Chief Executive Officer of SkyWest, said, “COVID-19 continues to cause unprecedented disruption across the airline industry. The safety and well- being of our people and passengers remains our main focus. Maintaining strong liquidity and working collaboratively with our partners are our other priorities. I want to thank our 14,000 employees for their dedication to our passengers, each other and our mission during this pandemic.” Financial Results Revenue was $350 million in Q2 2020, down from $744 million in Q2 2019, due to the COVID- 1 19 pandemic that caused a significant reduction in the number of scheduled flights SkyWest operated under its flying contracts compared to the same period last year.

Reports Combined February 2018 Traffic for SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines ST. GEORGE, UT, March 8, 2018 – SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) (“SkyWest”) today reported 135,000 block hours in February 2018, compared to 137,100 block hours in February 2017, a decrease of 2,100 or 1.6%. The net decrease was consistent with SkyWest’s fleet transition plan to improve the mix of aircraft in its fleet by adding new E175 aircraft, while reducing its 50-seat jets. In February 2018, SkyWest’s dual class aircraft represented approximately 52% of SkyWest’s total block hour production for the month compared to approximately 48% for the month of February 2017. SkyWest reported 282,700 block hours for year-to-date February 2018, compared to 290,800 block hours year-to-date February 2017, a decrease of 8,100, or 2.8%. PSA Airlines CASE STUDY PSA Airlines PSA Airlines’ headquarters was originally estab- lished in Dayton in 1985 while it was under the ownership of Piedmont Airlines. Dayton remains headquarters to PSA Airlines, now a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways, that merged with American Airlines in 2013. The airline operates an all-jet fleet and is considered the fastest- growing regional carrier under the American Eagle brand with nearly 3,000 employees operating nearly 700 daily flights to nearly 90 destinations. Since 2014, PSA has doubled its size and, by 2016, operated 150 Bombardier CRJ 900 aircraft. As a result of this growth, PSA has expanded its Dayton-based facilities, including a new maintenance hangar that opened in October of 2016. The new, 77,000 square foot hangar is adjacent to PSA’s existing 40,000 square foot operations control center and 6,500 professional learning center located at the Dayton International Airport and is the airline’s largest aircraft maintenance support facility. Dion Flannery, PSA President, stated that the new hanger is…“a testament to our growth, it’s an important infrastructure for us that’s going to last the rest of our days here.” How the City of Dayton (City) and its local partner, Montgomery County Economic Development Services (MCDS) helped PSA Airlines achieve speed-to-market, lower costs, and reduce risk: SPEED TO MARKET: In 2014, when PSA was planning to receive 30 new Bombardier CRJ 900 aircraft, the airline needed maintenance facilities for the new aircraft.
