Past Life Regression Past Life Regression Your Trainer: Kaz Field Anderson Children & Past Lives Connections Children are still very much connected to their previous lives, and many can recall snippets up to the age of 4, then that connection mysteriously stops. How spontaneous children's memories might be a sign of reincarnation: Have you ever had an unexplained fear, deja-vu when visiting a new place, or met someone who felt strangely familiar the first time you met them? Reincarnation is an idea that has existed around the world forever yet many are still quick to dismiss it. Recent cases have built a foundation to verify past lives and shed light on the importance of considering the world through this lens. If you or a loved one has ever experienced these unexplained phenomena then you will be happy to know that you are not alone. The accepted scientific Law of the Conservation of Energy states that energy can not be created or destroyed but only changes form. That means that the energy that animates our lives was here before we were born and it will be here after we are gone. Some people call this energy our “soul” but the question still remains, can this energy have memories from it’s previous forms? “We shall live again. “ – Native American Ghost Dance Saying Case History I had a Mother come in with her 4 year old Son. The Mother, let’s call her Jenny, claimed her Son starting recalling memories that he could not possibly have known and making statements that were very unnerving for her, such as: “Mummy that was where I used to herd to milk the cows” “This is where I used to spend a lot of time doing this” “This was my tractor, and on this tractor I had a heart attack and died, but it was an accident, I wasn’t meant to die, my body malfunctioned, so I was brought straight back as your Son”. Jenny’s Father had a cardiac arrest on his tractor 5 years previously, and passed away. Her Father was fit and healthy, and led a clean farm life. It was a shock, and indeed his heart had malfunctioned. A glitch in The Universal system so to speak. It does happen, it’s rare, but it does happen. Jenny previously had not believed in Past Lives, and this was beyond her scope of boundaries…until her Son taught her otherwise. Perhaps that was the reason….maybe it wasn’t really an ‘accident’ after all???? There was information her Son told her, that only her Father would have known. Once she got her head around it, it was very comforting for her. Jenny found out she was pregnant not long after her Fathers passing, whilst she was still in intense grief, and pushed her grief down to be present for her pregnancy. Her Son enabled her to process that grief. Unexplained Memories Memories that we cannot explain Since I was a kid I had memories that I can not explain. Are they manifestations of dreams, my imagination, or actual memories passed through my ancestors genes down to me? I naturally entertained all of these ideas first before considering the possibility of reincarnation. Something about reincarnation just seemed to defy logic in my mind yet whenever I shared these stories with others I was surprised to learn that my experiences were not uncommon. Then I met Carol Bowman. Carol is a researcher in the filed of past lives who has curated the worlds largest database of personal stories about the topic. She has numerous books including Children’s Past Life Memories: How Past Life Memories Affect your Child, where she documents peoples experiences that build a case for this important field of study. Her journey in the field took on an added dimension when her children began telling her detailed stories and accounts of events that happened before they were born. She appeared on Oprah Winfrey with her son who recounted memories from the civil war. On that show a panel of experts confirmed that the child knew things that had actually happened which are not written about in history books. Many children have memories that cannot come from this lifetime “ The vividness and emotional maturity with which toddlers relate facts from adult lives—and even tell of their deaths—signals that something extraorindary is happening here. These children have much to teach us. Children’s past life memories is a phenomenon with far-reaching implications for every person who is curious about the truth of reincarnation and wonders about their own past lives. “ -Carol Bowman This is more common than you might realize. Children’s stories are often discounted as an overly-active imagination yet thanks to increased awareness about the topic, researchers are able to document this phenomena and study it. One of the most popular of these is about a little boy named James Leininger whose fascinating story has been shared on multiple television programs. Watch below to see how the events in his family unfolded and how they shed light on this emerging field of study. Engaging in the stories and feelings of children’s stories Focusing on children’s past life memories is particularly revealing for adults as well. Many of us have years of conditioning or have such busy lives that these stories may not emerge as easily. Even if you don’t personally believe in past lives it is still valuable to engage the stories or feelings that emerge for you or your children. Usually they are not ego-oriented (I was Naploeon, or Queen Nefertiti in a past life) but more emotionally- oriented, irrational and tend to be unresolved (I have a deep fear of wolves, or I feel sick when I hear thunder). Below, from Carols website, is a list of why recognizing children’s past life memories is important. “Children’s spontaneous memories offer the best evidence yet for reincarnation Parents (and grandparents) of young children who are familiar with the signs can recognize the memories when they happen in their own children. So that everyone, whether parents or not, will see children differently, as experienced souls who have come to us for a reason. Because children’s memories resonate and legitimize adults’ experiences in past life regression therapy.” Transpersonal realms of the human spirit are being revealed Being Open to Exploring the Unknown We live in a time when the various transpersonal realms of the human spirit are beginning to reveal themselves in amazing ways. Even if you have never had a past life memory or if you don’t personally believe in them, there is good reason to explore the mysteries of your own psyche and share your stories with others. It is this kind of openness along with desire to explore the unknown which will guide us to new depths of understanding and compassion as a people. Our Role as Hypnotherapists As Hypnotherapists, from time to time we will be asked to do a Past Life Regression. If you don’t believe in it, refer on to someone who does. It’s ok to say “ No sorry, that is not my area of expertise, but I know someone who does”. This is something you have to be comfortable with, or you may block your intuition, and set yourself…and your client up for failure. I personally do not do Past Lives specifically, as I believe we need to deal with this life, and some people will use Past Lives as an excuse to avoid doing the work. However, if a client during a session goes back to the cause of their issue, and they go back to a previous life,…sometimes completely unexpectedly, then we work with what is. Up until I was in my 30’s, I didn’t actually understand how they could work, as I had no conscious Memories of such. We tend to shun what we don’t understand, as I myself did. Then I had 3 spontaneous Past Life experiences within a year. 1. I was completing my Psychotherapy Diploma residential up in Bellingen. We had an early finish as it was pouring with rain and our process work took place out on the property. So one of the Therapists present asked if anyone would like to do a Past Life Regression. I said no, I will have a nap. Unfortunately I was in the same room as the group, and as I tried to nap, I went into a Past Life in Egypt, where I was thrown into a snake pit for not loving a man. ( I have had a similar experience in this life, where I was shot at 10 years old because I would not get into a snake pit) 2. I had a recurring dream as a child, where I would be falling off a cliff. Always the same setting, which I didn’t recognise, but it was familiar. I would always wake up screaming just before I hit the ground. When I was in my early 30’s, I was asked to facilitate at a Convention in Monteray California, along With 4 other Therapist from Australia. After the Convention, we went to Sedona Arizona, to visit the Vortex and search for the Ancient Medicine Wheel. We met a Hopi Indian, who took us up to a Sacred Mesa, where no white man had been allowed. It was 1000 feet up, and 2 separate areas where separated by a narrow path, 1 for their mud huts, and 1 for cooking. As I stepped onto the narrow path…it was my dream! I recognised it well.

It’s a natural phenomenon. Children usually begin speaking of “when they were big before” or “when they died” around the age of three, and may speak of their memories for a period of a few years. Many of the memories children recall are of traumatic deaths, which may continue to affect a child in their present life as phobias and other emotional problems. By combining what I’ve learned from collecting my own cases of children’s past life memories for more than twenty years, and from the large body of research of spontaneous past life memories from Dr. Ian Stevenson, with the healing model of past life therapy with adults, I derive a method of healing traumatic past life memories as they emerge spontaneously in early childhood. By studying the cases of children who speak with conviction of their other lives, we also observe that many aspects of the child’s present personality have carried forward intact from the past life: behaviors, emotions, phobias, talents, knowledge, the quality of relationships, and even physical symptoms. The fact that these personality traits carry forward suggests a new way of looking at personality formation and a theory of personality that spans lifetimes. The children’s cases also add an important piece to the metaphysical discussion of the survival of consciousness after death, because it is clear from the cases that some form of personal consciousness continues from one life to another.

  • Past Life Regression
Past Life Regression Past life regression is a technique that uses hypnosis to recover the memories of past lives or incarnations. Past-life regression is typically undertaken either in pursuit of a spiritual experience, or in a psychotherapeutic setting. Most advocates loosely adhere to beliefs about reincarnation, though religious traditions that incorporate reincarnation generally do not include the idea of repressed memories of past lives. The technique used during past-life regression involves the subject answering a series of questions while hypnotized to reveal identity and events of their past lives. The use of hypnosis and suggestive questions can tend to help the subject to recall his past memories. The source of the memories is more likely that of combine experiences, knowledge, imagination and suggestion or guidance from the hypnotist or regression therapist. Once created, those memories are indistinguishable from memories based on events that occurred during the subject's life. Experiments with subjects undergoing past-life regression indicate that a belief in reincarnation and suggestions by the hypnotist are the two most important factors regarding the contents of memories reported. In the 2nd century BC, Sage Patanjali, in his Yoga Sutras, discussed the idea of the soul becoming burdened with an accumulation of impressions as part of the karma from previous lives. Patanjali called the process of past-life regression “prati- prasav”or "reverse birthing" and saw it as addressing current problems through memories of past lives. Past life regression can be found in Jainism. The seven truths of Jainism deal with the soul and its attachment to karma and Moksha.

  • Past Life and Life Between Lives Regression
June, 2019 Volume 19, No. 2 Past Life and Life Between Lives Regression By Susan Wisehart, M.S., LMFT, NCSP, CHt Abstract Past life and life between lives regression are powerful therapeutic methods. Past life regression therapy may get to the origin of an issue when other methods have not worked. Some of the issues carried over from previous lifetimes include repeating patterns, limiting beliefs, phobias, relationship challenges, and physical symptoms. Life between lives hypnotherapy assists clients to remember the afterlife between lives on earth, to discover life purpose, Soul lessons in relationships, and a deeper connection with their spiritual mentors/guides. I present some existing research and case studies that support the premises on which these therapies are based. However, my intention is not to prove the existence of past lives or between lives. My purpose is to share transformative therapies which integrate mind, body and spirit. In a time when many people are feeling disconnected from Spirit and each other, I have found that these experiential approaches often awaken a deep awareness of our oneness and wholeness. Introduction Life between lives hypnotherapy (LBL) is a methodology developed by Dr. Michael Newton, a counseling psychologist. He regressed 7000 people to their memories of the afterlife, a place where their spirit went after death, between their lives on earth. He initially did not necessarily believe in an afterlife, nor was he religious or spiritual. Dr. Newton began past life explorations when he happened upon a discovery during a hypnotherapy session with a client who he was treating for pain. When the client was asked to go to the origin of the pain, he remembered a previous life as a soldier who was killed.

  • Beyond Death: Transition and the Afterlife
Beyond Death: Transition and the Afterlife Dr. Roger J. Woolger ‘He who dies before he dies, does not die when he dies’. Abraham of Santa Clara. ‘Zen has no other secrets than seriously thinking about birth and death’ Takeda Shingen ‘We are not dealing here with irreality. The mundus imaginalis is a world of autonomous forms and images...It is a perfectly real world preserving all the richness and diversity of the sensible world but in a spiritual state’. Henry Corbin By way of introduction I should say that I am a psychotherapist trained in Jungian psychoanalysis and various other modalities and that my current practice uses what is called ‘regression’ to early childhood, past life, inter-life and other transpersonal or ‘spiritual’ experiences. (In other contexts - see below - the word ‘regression’ can equally refer to what shamans call ‘journeying’) But I also hold degrees in the comparative phenomenology of religion, a subject that greatly illuminates the kind of areas that we are here today calling ‘beyond death’. Our starting point today has been the, by now, quite extensive documentation of so-called Near Death Experience (NDE); you have heard the detailed reports discussed by Dr. Fenwick’s and Dr. Powell’s reflections on similar experiences. It will already seem apparent that the scientific paradigm that seeks fully to explain such phenomena in materialistic terms is stretched beyond its limits. Not long ago, I saw a tape of a major British television program where a woman suffered a clinical NDE during an operation and reported, while ‘out of her body’ seeing an instrument in the operating room she could not possibly have seen while in her body and alive.

  • The Art of Noise: Literature and Disturbance 1900-1940
THE ART OF NOISE: LITERATURE AND DISTURBANCE 1900-1940 by Nora Elisabeth Lambrecht A dissertation submitted to Johns Hopkins University in conformity with the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy Baltimore, Maryland October, 2017 © 2017 Nora Elisabeth Lambrecht All Rights Reserved ABSTRACT The Art of Noise: Literature and Disturbance 1900-1940 is a study of noise’s role in prose literature in the U.S., Britain, and Ireland in the first half of the twentieth century. The Art of Noise focuses on what I call modernist noise, a way of leveraging noise— understood both as an auditory phenomenon (unwanted sound) and cybernetic interference (additional or garbled information that distorts information transmission)—to draw attention to, and in some cases to patch, a communicative or epistemological gap. I examine how authors leverage noise’s ability to confuse, to dismay, to pull a reader out of the flow of a text, and even to alienate her in order to create sticking points in their work that demand attention. In tracing noise’s disruptive qualities through modernist and modernist-era novels, I am particularly interested in how the defamiliarizing action of modernist noise coalesces around limit cases of social and political belongingness— narratives of extremity ranging from total war to economic and racial otherness. Scholarship on literary sound has tended to focus on musicality, or on the impact of sound technology on modernist culture. This focus has led to a general neglect of noise in se. The authors I consider—chief among them Mary Borden, James Joyce, Upton Sinclair, and Richard Wright—suggest that writing noise carries with it the possibility of intercourse between otherwise unbridgeable domains of experience.

  • The Phenomenology of Near-Death Consciousness in Past-Life Regression Therapy: a Pilot Study
The Phenomenology of Near-Death Consciousness in Past-Life Regression Therapy: A Pilot Study Jenny Wade, Ph.D. Ross, CA ABSTRACT Although past-life regression therapy has not been shown to be the re-experiencing of a verifiable previous biological existence, therapists have noted similarities between the phenomenology of post-death awareness reported by regressed subjects and the phenomenology of near-death expe riences (NDEs). This paper reports the results of a pilot study exploring those similarities as far as the therapeutic modality normally accommodates post-death phenomena. Similarities and differences between NDEs and post death regression phenomena suggest new avenues of research. "Past-life regression" in Western usage describes the emergence of impressions, images and sensations that seem to be memories of an earlier existence, usually occurring during special, evocative circum stances, such as psychotherapy. The term has evolved from a tech nology originated by Albert de Rochas, a French hypnotherapist at the turn of the century (Christie-Murray, 1981). Although the spon taneous recollection of apparent past-life memories by children is well documented in cultures that accept reincarnation (Stevenson, 1975-80, 1980, 1987), most Western literature concerns recollections produced by adults in altered states of consciousness. The largest body comes from therapeutic modalities involving the deeper layers of the psyche, such as traditional psychoanalysis; Rolfing, accupres sure and other body work; rebirthing; sensory isolation; controlled drug therapy; and hypnosis (Bache, 1990). Like age regression ther Jenny Wade, Ph.D., is a management consultant in private practice who lectures on noetics and developmental psychology. Reprint requests should be addressed to Dr.
