Raoul La Roche was a swiss banker who wished for a house that was architecturally fit to house his collection of paintings by Corbusier’s cousin, Pierre Jeanneret Le Corbusier was given “freedom of design” because La Roche had sufficient funds to allow the architect full creative expression.
