New members and guests were introduced. Sunshine Committee– no report. Secretary’s Report– Nicky Stefanski read the secretary‟s report from the month of November the report was read and approved by the members. Treasurer’s Report– Jim Young gave a report of the income and expenses for the month of November. After the treasurer‟s report, money was collected for the charities the club supports. The money collected is added to the money that the club donates from the club treasury. Jim listed seven local charities the club will be supporting this year. They are Christmas Clearing Council, Hebron House, Hope Center, Salvation Army, St. Vincent DePaul, Waukesha Food Pantry and Waukesha Women‟s Center. Vice-President’s Report– Steve Heinemann is currently collecting dues. Your dues can be paid at the meetings or mailed directly to him. He reminded everyone to insure that your hours worked for the club have been recorded. Four hours worked entitles you to a 50% reduction in your dues. He prefers that you pay your dues by check. President’s Report– Ron Wichinski on behalf of the club accepted a plaque from the Waukesha Historic Preservation Committee for the club‟s participation in the efforts to save the Bartles Gas Station. The committee failed in it‟s attempt to save the landmark and expects that it will be torn down in the near future. However the name of the restaurant has been changed to Bullwinkle‟s. Tickets are available at the meeting or by contacting Mel. Tickets are $12.50 per person or $25.00 for a couple. You must purchase your tickets before the banquet as no tickets are available after February 18th. Jim Haas has taken over the “My Garage” and cruise outings. In part, the change is a result of the dinner’s immense success over the years — serving 814 in 2019 (from less than 100 in its first year), alone — as it has stretched the abilities of the organization to handle the major solicitation and coor- dination effort required to make the meal happen. Μουσική και πολιτική: Pink Floyd The Wall Το ιστορικό γίγνεσθαι της πολιτικής τοποθέτησης του Roger Waters την περίοδο 1970-1980 2 Music and politics: Pink Floyd The Wall Τhe history of political declaration of Roger Waters at 1970-1980 3 Περίληψη Στην εργασία αυτή, θα ασχοληθούμε με το άλμπουμ The Wall των Pink Floyd σε συνάρτηση με το κοινωνικό περιβάλλον μέσα στο οποίο δημιουργήθηκε και κυκλοφόρησε το 1979 και αποτελεί το τελευταίο άλμπουμ στο οποίο συμμετείχαν και τα τέσσερα βασικά μέλη του συγκροτήματος. Ιδιαίτερη σημασία και ανάλυση θα δοθεί στο θέμα, του πολέμου, καθώς το The Wall, αναφέρεται από τον Roger Waters, ως αντιπολεμικό μανιφέστο και της εκπαίδευσης όπως παρουσιάζεται μέσα από το πιο εμπορικό τραγούδι του δίσκου, το “Another Brick in the Wall pt.2”, όπως και στον ρόλο που έχει η εκπαίδευση στην κοινωνικοποίηση και μόρφωση του ανθρώπου. H μεθοδολογία που ακολουθήθηκε είναι η βιβλιογραφική έρευνα σε συνδιασμό με ανάλυση στίχων των τραγουδιών και της ταινίας The Wall. Λέξεις κλειδιά: Pink, Floyd, The Wall, Μεγάλη Βρετανία, πόλεμος, εκπαίδευση, κοινωνία, πολιτική 7 Abstract In this study, we concern ourselves with the album The Wall of Pink Floyd compared with the social environment in which the album was created and released in 1979 and is the last album created by all four members of the band.

APPENDIX A BACKGROUND ANALYSIS FOR WATER- DEPENDENT ACTIVITIES 191 APPENDIX B TEXT OF PROPOSITION H ORDINANCE 202 APPENDIX C GLOSSARY OF TERMS 207 APPENDIX D SEAWALL LOT/ASSESSORS BLOCK CORRELATION CHART 212 ACKNOWLEDGMENTS 213 191 Appendix A Background Analysis for Water-Dependent Activities A key priority of the waterfront planning process was to ensure that ample property was reserved for the existing and future land use needs of the Port’s water-dependent activities. Water-dependent activities – those which require access to water in order to function – include cargo shipping, ship repair, passenger cruise, excursion boats and ferries, recreational boating and water activities, historic ships, fishing, and temporary and ceremonial berthing. The land use needs of these industries were determined following intensive, indus- try-by-industry evaluations and public workshops which were completed in October 1992. Approximately two-thirds of the Port’s properties were then reserved to meet the future needs of water-dependent activities. Below are brief summaries of those industries, taken from more detailed profiles prepared by Port staff, and from statements of facts and issues based on the profile reports and workshops with industry representatives. These additional documents are available from the Port of San Francisco upon request. Following the sum- maries of the industries is a brief summary of dredging and its impacts on maritime operations at the Port of San Francisco. Cargo Shipping Industry The “containerization” of cargo, whereby freight is pre-loaded into standard size boxes (as compared to “break-bulk” cargo which is freight that is made up of similar sized pieces loaded loosely or on palettes), began a revolution in shipping that has had dramatic impacts on most older waterfront cities, including San Francisco.
