Wahlperiode 20.03.18 Schriftliche Kleine Anfrage des Abgeordneten Carsten Ovens (CDU) vom 14.03.18 und Antwort des Senats Betr.: Hochschulen stärken – Fördert der Senat den akademischen Austausch mit Hamburgs Partnerstädten? Seit 1957 mit dem damaligen Leningrad (heute St. Petersburg) die erste Städtepartnerschaft Hamburgs begründet wurde, ist deren Zahl mittlerweile auf neun gestiegen. Die Kooperation zwischen Hamburg und seinen Partner- städten wird sehr verschieden gestaltet. So unterschiedlich die Städte auch sind, so sehr eint sie doch ein jeweils zunehmender Fokus auf Universitäten, Hochschulen und weitere Forschungseinrichtungen, auch um Antworten in einer zunehmend komplexer werdenden Welt zu finden. Von besonderem Interesse ist es daher, wie sich die Städtepartnerschaften im akademischen Bereich gestalten beziehungsweise vom Senat unterstützt werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund frage ich den Senat: Der Senat beantwortet die Fragen unter anderem auf Grundlage von Auskünften der staatlichen Hamburger Hochschulen sowie der von Hamburg staatlich anerkannten Hochschulen wie folgt: 1. ICAIS 2021 Workshop Proposal Title: International Workshop on Multimedia Content Security and Privacy Protection. Abstract: Multimedia signal processing are omnipresent in our daily lives, however, a lot of relevant security issues have emerged as well, such as covert communication using multimedia files, copy-move forgery in digital images and videos, biometric spoofing. To address these issues, many multimedia information security techniques were proposed utilizing the methods in areas like deep learning, signal and image processing in encrypted domain, and privacy protection. Nevertheless, there are some notable shortcomings in research methodologies. Current studies for the multimedia content security are often based on the strict conditions that are nearly impossible to meet up in real world. Furthermore, the high computational complexity of the current methods makes it hard to handle the big data in the cloud computing environment. All these drawbacks limit the applications of the secure techniques in practice. This Workshop will focus on the latest research on the topics of privacy protection and multimedia content security, with a particular emphasis on novel and highly efficient methodologies that have the potential to be used in cloud environment. April 2016 University of Bayreuth launches Gateway Office in China on 8 April 2016 The University of Bayreuth has maintained a close partnership with the Shanghai International Studies Unviersity (SISU) for the past 30 years. Today, University President Prof. Dr. Stefan Leible cut the ribbon for the University of Bayreuth’s new gateway office on the campus of SISU in Shanghai’s Hongkou district. Ever since it opened its doors in 1975, the University of Bayreuth has been selectively developing its strategic international collaborations, including partnerships with universities in China. The University currently cooperates with more than ten higher education institutions in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Bayreuth’s oldest partnership, dating back to 1986, is with the Shanghai International Studies University (abbreviated SISU). The core of this strategic partnership is the jointly coordinated bachelor’s and master’s programme “German/Economics”, which has become a prime example of successful bilateral cooperation in China in the area of teaching. SISU is also the focal point of the University of Bayreuth’s alumni network in China, which counts several hundred joint alumni among its members. On the basis of this 30-year partnership, the University lauched a Gateway Office on SISU’s Hongkou campus on 8 April 2016. This new office in China brings the strategic partnership to the next level and provides a service centre for all members of the University of Bayreuth and the university’s Chinese partners.
