Conclusion I.Introduction With reference to the gazette notification dated 15th January 2016, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the district environment Impact Assessment Authority (DEIAA) and District -Environment Assessment Committee (DEAC) are to be constituted for prior environmental clearance of quarry for minor minerals. The main purpose of preparation of District Survey Report is to identify the mineral resources and mining activities along with other relevant data of district. The DEIAA and DEAC will scrutinize and recommend the prior environmental clearance for minor minerals on the basis of district survey report. The district Survey Report was prepared with the assistance of Geological Survey of India, State Unit: Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Chennai. In the early 15th Century the present territories of Ramanathapuram district comprising of taluks Tiruvadanai, Paramakudi, Kamuthi, Mudukulathur, Ramanathapuram and Rameswaram were included in Pandiyan Kingdom. For a short period, this area was under the Chola Kings when Rajendra Chola brought it under his territory in 1063 AD. -

A set of transmission windows typical to India have been developed, in terms of different temperature ranges for a particular range of relative humidity, by analysing the present climate trends and corresponding malaria incidences. El Nino years were used to find out the relationship between the climatic variables and the incidence of malaria. Occurrence of El Nino may be a alarm for taking precautions. -
