OUR TOWN • OCTOBER 2006 – 20 – AROUND TOWN St. James Post Office Greets 10th Annual Breast Cancer Victory Train

On Saturday, September 16, 2006 the St. James Post Office, along with St. James residents, greeted the Breast Cancer Victory Day Train at the St. James Train Station. Breast Cancer Victory Day has become a heartwarming day of triumph for hundreds of Long Island women. Victory Day cel- ebrates and honors the real win- ners in the fight against breast cancer – those who have beaten or are now fighting the disease. October is BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH. Please consider purchasing Breast Cancer Research stamps at 45¢ for a first class stamp or a sheet of 20 for $9. A portion of each sale goes toward research. To date the stamp has raised over $47.9 million to fight this dis- ease. The stamp features the phrases “Fund the Fight” and “Find a Cure.”

Pictured, the St. James Post Office was out in force to greet the Breast Cancer Victory Train as it stopped in St. James.

St. James residents gathered as the Victory Train arrived.
