The fieldwork was commissioned by CgMs Consulting in advance of the development of the site. There was evidence of a working agricultural landscape that was in use primarily in the late Iron-Age/Roman period with possible earlier phases present. Multiple field boundaries and enclosures surround a large trackway in Area A and a banjo enclosure in Area B.
