WDCAG 2018 ANNUAL MEETING SCAVENGER HUNT Created by The King’s University Students: Sean Adams, Forrest Battjes, Claire Brandenbarg, Cacey Cottrill and Karambir Singh Please hand in your numbered list with corresponding, legible answers on a separate piece of paper to Sean Adams or Forrest Battjes at the registration table on Saturday 10th March 2018 before 4pm. Be sure to put your group name/associated university/college at the top! Hand in your photos by emailing them in a folder to [email protected] by 4pm as well. We may display them in a slideshow at the Banquet. Be sure to indicate in the email which questions you answered that correspond with your photos! Take a group picture at the Strathcona Canadian Pacific Railway Station (now home to MKT) at 8101 Gateway Blvd. Make sure your group looks like a serious old time train just chugging along. 45. Go to Muttart Conservatory and take a picture with Putrella the Corpse Flower. 52. Go to Earth Sciences building at U of A and taken a picture with 3 different rock sample displays. 53. Take a sunrise selfie and include the time filter in it. (cloudy or clear) Take a picture at the Edmonton Waste Management Center 54. Take a photo/selfie of group members on the High Level bridge pathway. 55. What is Edmonton’s “Accidental Beach” and how was it created? 56. Make something artistic out of the snow and submit a photo, along with a description/interpretation of its artistic value. 57. Spot and take a photo of the new Walterdale Bridge (from however far away, as long as it’s visible in the photo). 58. Take a picture with the elusive Dr Harry Spaling from The King’s University. 59. Take a little ride on the LRT, save your ticket 60. Take a picture with someone wearing Edmonton Oilers gear 61. Get a group picture with this Jurassic creature hanging from the roof in the Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science. Extra points if you name this Cretaceous sea monster. 62. Find the Rutherford Library and take a picture inside the reading hall. Be as a quiet as possible. 63. Make a new friend and take a picture with them! Mention on your answer sheet who they are and what academic institution they’re from, along with one interesting personal fact! No trickery ;) 10 Point Questions: 64. On a letter size white paper, write “Anthropocene Is Here”, get it signed by two professors from 2 different universities, and attach the sign to your t-shirt and wear it for the whole day. Take a picture 70. Visit the Edmonton Clinical Health Academy, check out their waste disposal system and energy efficiency program. In 250 words, describe how the waste disposal system work and what standard(s) are used for the energy efficiency certification. 71. Find a historic statue in Edmonton and take a photo of the whole team beside it, posing like the statue. 72. Find the Princess Theatre and take a photo of the marquee. 73.
