The Tigers crack the Top 10 for the first time since the preseason AUGUST at No. 8 in this week’s power ranking. The Lady Tigers blew away the compe- tition to win their fifth team title all-time and first since 2005 as they racked up 104 points over the course of two days. Texas A&M finished a distant second with 62 points. The Tigers earned a runner- up finish at one of the premier meets of the indoor season after scoring 55 points on the weekend. Ohanaja got Thomas, Wilson . .4x400 . .3:34.74 the ball rolling by setting the meet record in the 60-meter hurdles with a winning time of 8.12 seconds, while Baptiste followed minutes later by setting a new meet record of 7.17 to win the event title in the LSU IN THE RANKINGS 60-meter dash and qualify automatically for the NCAA Championships for the first time this season. Thomas set a new meet record of her own the following day as she won the 800-meter title with an NCAA USTFCCCA TOP 25 automatic qualifying time of 2 minutes, 4.66 seconds in her season debut in the event.
