Navale] 10.10 Student feedback mechanism on institutional governance/ faculty performance Software based transparent feedback system has been developed and successfully implemented. 10.11 Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students • A complaint box/suggestion box is maintained for receiving the complaints in the reading room of the institute. One staff member is assigned the duty to draw the complaints from the box on timely basis and report it to the chair of the committee. 3 • Upon receipt of an ethics complaint or request for arbitration, a letter of acknowledgement will be sent to the complainant. Additionally, the respondent will be notified in writing and provided with a copy of the complaint. No response will be solicited from the Respondent, unless deemed necessary by the Grievance Committee or the assigned investigators. • The Grievance Committees chair shall assign two committee members to conduct a preliminary investigation of the complaint. • Investigators will not make direct contact with either the complainant or respondent. If deemed necessary, they will instruct staff to contact the parties in writing to obtain documentation or clarify statements. • The report of investigators will be submitted to the chair and the action taken by the Chair will be communicated to the complainant and respondent in the meeting. The signatures of both, complainant and respondent will be taken on the document. The decision of the chair will be final.
