PRESS RELEASE Wereldhave sells Itis and exits Finland Wereldhave has reached agreement to sell the Itis shopping centre in Helsinki to a fund advised by Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing (MSREI). With this transaction, Wereldhave has made a large step in realising its strategic agenda to focus on convenience centres, whilst improving its risk profile and strengthening the balance sheet. The net price for the shopping centre including the deferred tax liability amounts to € 450m. This reflects a gross price of € 516 million which is 8.5% below the book value at 30 June 2018. The transaction is scheduled for December 2018, subject to completion of the Finnkino development project and antitrust approval. After completion, Wereldhave’s portfolio will be strongly focused on one asset class, with 29 convenience shopping centres in Belgium (7), France (6) and the Netherlands (16). As Itis accounted for 15% of the portfolio, the single asset exposure will decrease to 7%, which improves the risk profile of the Company. Once the disposal of Finland is completed, the LTV is expected to drop by 6%, thus significantly improving the capital structure of Wereldhave. As a result of the completion of the transaction and the associated loss of rental income in December, Wereldhave expects the direct result for 2018 to be between € 3.30 and € 3.35 per share (previously € 3.33 and € 3.38). The dividend can and will be maintained at the current level of € 2.52 in respect of 2018 and 2019. PRESS RELEASE, 18 October 2018 Conference call / webcast Wereldhave will host a brief presentation on this transaction at 10:30 AM CET today through a conference call and webcast.

  • PRESS RELEASE New Generation of Cinema to Open in Itis
PRESS RELEASE New generation of cinema to open in Itis 7 December 2016 Wereldhave Finland has reached an agreement with Finnkino to open a 9 screen cinema in its shopping centre Itis in Helsinki, Finland with an anticipated opening at the end of 2018. The cinema with a unique concept for Finland will be the first in East Helsinki and it will be an excellent addition to the leisure offer at Itis. Finnkino is the market leader in Finland with 98 screens in 14 cinemas in 11 cities. Finnkino is part of Nordic Cinema Group, the market leader in the Nordics, with 469 screens in 6 countries, amongst which is the recently opened cinema in the mall of Scandinavia in Stockholm. “This is good news for Wereldhave, as it will change the entire nature of Itis shopping centre, adding to the attractiveness of the centre and creating a solid basis to further improve the food and beverage and leisure offer. It will clearly enhance Itis’s status as the leading shopping centre in Finland”, says Dirk Anbeek, CEO of Wereldhave. “Our estimate is that footfall of the centre will increase with at least 500,000 visitors per year, which will reach 17m visitors at the end of 2016”, says Director of operations Richard Belt at Wereldhave Finland Oy. “We are very excited to be opening a new state of the art cinema in the Itis shopping mall. We see large potential in the Eastern part of Helsinki and we are planning a totally new generation of cinema”, says Veronica Lindholm, CEO of Finnkino.

  • Finnkino to Build Finland's First IMAX Theatre in Itis Helsinki Shopping
Press release November 29, 2017 Finnkino to build Finland’s first IMAX theatre in Itis Helsinki Shopping Center Finnkino is developing the Finnish cinema scene by opening the most modern cinema in Finland in the Itis Helsinki shopping center. Finnkino Itis will open by the end of 2018. The new theatre will include nine cinema halls, one of which will be the first IMAX® theatre in Finland. “The long-awaited Finnkino Itis theatre is now under construction. We look forward to the moment when we can show our guests the first movie in Finland's first and only IMAX theatre in Finnkino Itis", says Veronica Lindholm, CEO of Finnkino. According to Lindholm, Itäkeskus in Helsinki is a strategic location for the new top theatre. “East Helsinki and its surrounding areas have lacked a full-scale movie theatre and we are now filling the gap. Thanks to good connections to Itäkeskus, we believe that movie goers from nearby areas as well as from elsewhere in Finland will come to Finnkino Itis. We are confident that Finland’s first IMAX theatre will attract plenty of guests”, Lindholm says. Finnkino Itis will open at the end of 2018 Construction plans for the thousand seat Finnkino Itis and Finland's first IMAX theatre started a year ago. Currently, the theatre is a big hole in the ground and it will begin to take shape during next year. “The launch of IMAX at Finnkino Itis is a long-awaited and important continuation of our partnership with Odeon Group,” said Giovanni Dolci, Managing Director, Europe & Africa, IMAX Corporation.
