Interestingly, the leather scene sees itself as harmless, even beneficial to the society as a whole. Just ask Payne.

"The leather community has provided family to many of us who were shunned by our own families. It's one of the best things about us, is that we can be family, a leaning post to others. Everybody needs someone to rely on and many of us don't have that support at home or even know where to get it."

So sure, to the outside, the leather scene might appear deviant. But that's just appearances. The look is a necessity; a way the group sends obvious signals to identify group members with one other. On the inside, it's quite different. There are as many facets to the community as there are sides to a jewel. Yes, some of them are dark and some of them are very rough. But others sides shimmer, calling out to misfits and the lost like glittering beacons in the night, offering, comfort, brotherhood, and oftentimes, maybe just a little bit of hope.

Tennessee native Dustin Lynch, who TWiT Music unassumingly snuck into the Top 20 with his slow- bumer "Cowboys and Angels," has what it takes to be the next big star. He is keeping the sound crisp and modern, but with a big dose of the past. And as such, "Cowboys and Angels" is a very dreamy IDDEN classic country song.

Lynch's debut has plenty of great strong songs, Open Daily but like many men his age coming into the music 12 noon to 2 a.m. business, he is going to sing what he and most 20 years old sing about, about what he knows - girls Never a Cover and good times - and there are plenty of good time songs on this debut. One of my faves is "She Cranks My Tractor," it is the upbeat lead-off to the album. Then there are "Last Lap," "Yeah Yeah 'OaR Yeah" and "Sittin' Pretty." Yes, it's about a pretty girl sitting in a truck. I admit I had low expectations when I read the titles, but these are all great party songs and as I said, he is in his 20's.
