SIMON L. SIM

Our invited judge is a true sportsman, actively competing in his younger days in both the sports of Track & Field and Basketball. To date, his influence in these sports remains, He’s presently the coach of his alma mater for both sports.

Simon’s involvement in the breeding and exhibition of started in 1974 with the , Doberman Pinscher & ; in the succeeding years, several other breeds have become part of his kennel. Simon has dedicated his time to the development of the Rottweiler and in 2002, the was the latest breed that he has added to his kennel. His kennel name LionBear, is one of the most successful kennels in the Philippines.

His passion for the Rottweiler breed started in 1987 & served as president for 4 of the first 10 years of the Philippine Rottweiler Club, Inc. Simon has also help founded the Bullmastiff Club Federation in 2005 which has been affiliated with the PCCI in March of 2006. Simon owned several Rottweilers who have become top winning dogs in the country. He also owned the all time top winning/top producing Bullmastiff, Ph Hall of Fame Tommy (Steelmaz Hamlet).

Approved by the PCCI to judge all breeds; Simon has since judge All Breed levels in numerous territory of Australia & New Zealand; Bangkok, Thailand; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Indonesia; India; Sweden and all part of the Philippines. Simon has also judged in the specialties levels for the Rottweiler club in Malaysia, Beagle Club & The Bullmastiff Nationals in Queensland, Australia. He was also approved to judge the Companion Dog (CD) & Companion Dog Graduate (CDG) Obedience Trial. To date, he is the only active licensed judge for both the Conformation & Obedience trial shows in the country.

He was a past Director of the PCCI and served as Assistant Treasurer. A former Chairman of the Judge’s Development & Licensing Committee. A member of the Editorial Board of the PCCI Quarterly and the Affiliated Clubs Committee.
