Jared was predeceased by his grandparents, Lester & Katie In Loving Memory Of Frederickson of Theodore, and his grandmother Doreen Berrns of Springside. Jared leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Brian & Judy (Frederickson) Berrns, his older brother Derek, and his wife Rochelle (Husulak) and their son Hayden. He also leaves to mourn his passing his grandfather Gordon Berrns of Springside, his aunts and uncles, Bruce & Diane Frederickson of Theodore, Grant Frederickson of Theodore, Brenda and Jim Sharp of Springside, Kevin & Donna Berrns of Yorkton, Karen Berrns and Greg Harding of Regina, Marie & Martin Brown of Yorkton, and Terry & Kim Berrns of Edmonton. Jared’s cousins, who were so very important to him include Cory & Terry Frederickson and their son Eric of Regina, Lisa & Cory Richards and Jayde and Kassia of Kinistino, Carrie & Derek Seeley and Bryson of Regina, Marla & Scott Bilokreli and Kyler of Theodore, Brooklyn Berrns of Regina, Katelyn Berrns of Saskatoon, Michael & Colleen Nakonechny and Breeana of Regina, Jordan Nakonechny of Kamsack, Ashley & Tyrell Lipp of Regina, Jacob Berrns and Jensen Berrns of Edmonton. Jared will also be sadly missed by all his friends and acquaintances. Jared Berrns Services directed by Bailey’s Funeral Home. November 30, 1980 – February 10, 2011 In Celebration of a life well lived Over the years Jared was involved in many activities including Jared Brian Berrns hockey, baseball and school curling, was a member of the November 30, 1980 – February 10, 2011 Springside Beef 4-H Club, played trumpet in the school band, --------------------------------------- and was a very proud member of the YRHS Gridder Raiders Family Interment Service Football Team. Music was a very big part of his life – he Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2:30pm enjoyed all types of music and kept up with all the latest Springside Cemetery groups. He made a point of not only knowing the music but Officiated by – Crystal Bailey also the history of the people who composed it. Jared taught himself to play the drums and most recently the guitar. Jared ------------------ was also fascinated by movies and the movie industry Memorial Gathering remembering every detail of every movie he ever saw. He saw the humour in life and idolized people such as George Carlin and Springside Community Hall Russell Brand. He was always ready with a smile and loved to Springside, Saskatchewan make people laugh. Over the years, his passion for technology, especially computers became a major part of his life. He spent 3:00 – 5:00pm countless hours online, researching, learning, gaming, visiting Jared was born on November 30, 1980 at the Yorkton with people from all over the world to satisfy his thirst for Regional Health Centre. He attended school in Springside until knowledge. Jared’s friends were very important to him. He Grade 6, Yorkdale from Grades 7 – 9 and the Yorkton tried to keep track of his school friends and was so proud of Regional High School for grades 10 – 12. After high school he their accomplishments. He valued all of the friendships that he attended Heinz Institute in Saskatoon and the Medicine Hat formed during his life. Jared was united in Jared passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 10, 2011 marriage to Dana Sparrowhawk in February 2006 at Puerto from complications resulting from Type 1 Diabetes. Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association 1948

SASKATCHEWAN HIGH SCHOOLS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION 1948 – 2018 70 YEARS OF SCHOOL SPORT “MERIT AWARD” to honour people who have given outstanding leadership and service to the SHSAA and to the promotion of high school athletics in the Province of Saskatchewan. A person who has made outstanding contributions to the TOTAL PROGRAM of the SHSAA over a period of time. THE SIXTIES Stanley Gutheridge (1960) Hub, as he was called, had been recognized over the years by many accolades, the naming of Gutheridge Field on the Riverview Collegiate school grounds, his National Basketball Builder Award, and being in the first group to receive SHSAA’s Merit Award in 1960. Hub died in Moose Jaw in 1990. E.W. (Wally) Stinson (1960) Executive Director of the Association from 1948 to 1959. Credited with designing the original districts, using a Wheat Pool map and a ruler dividing the province into districts with equal numbers of high school students. Joe Griffiths (1960) Joe took a position in 1919 with the University of Saskatchewan as its first Physical Education Director. He remained there until his retirement in 1951. In 1960, he received the SHSAA Merit Award for his influence in high school athletics. The most obvious honour bestowed upon this legendary man was the dedication to him of Griffiths Stadium on the university campus. Clarence Garvie (1960) Garvie filled several roles during the years he was involved with SHSAA. He was its first Secretary, and later was President and editor of the first SHSAA yearbook. A member of both the Saskatchewan and Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame, Garvie retired in 1972.
