Holly brings prior NWSL coaching experience to his role, and the native Irishman more recently had a hand in helping the United States win the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup as an opposition analyst for U.S. Soccer. Holly traveled extensively in advance of the World Cup, scouting potential rivals for the United States. His diligence — in the form of lengthy reports delivered to the coaching staff — paid off when the USWNT successfully defended its title.Prior to working with U.S. Soccer, Holly rose from assistant to head coach for Sky Blue FC, the NWSL franchise in Harrison, N.J. Holly guided a young Sky Blue FC roster to a 7-8-5 mark in 2016, narrowly missing the playoffs with a roster that featured Rookie of the Year Raquel Rodriguez in the midfield. Holly left Sky Blue FC mid-2017 before resurfacing with U.S. Soccer, for which he has also served as an assistant for the women’s U-23 and U-17 teams.Holly coordinated with Executive Vice President of Development, James O’Connor, on building Racing Louisville FC’s inaugural roster. Key events included the 2020 NWSL Expansion Draft in November and the 2021 NWSL College Draft that took place in January. gary curneen ASSISTANT COACH / NORTHERN IRELAND Joining head coach Christy Holly as his first full-time assistant, Gary Curneen has helped build Racing’s system toward the start of its Inaugural season. Curneen who, as with Holly, is a native of Northern Ireland, worked for two seasons on the Chicago Red Stars’ staff after a stint as Division 1 California State University Bakersfield’s head coach.

In the NCAA’s Graduation Success Rate report released last November, the ACC’s graduation rate of 91 percent was four points above the national average. Additionally, the league tied for the highest GSR among peer conferences in the sport of football, and a combined six ACC men’s and women’s basketball teams achieved perfect scores.

No. 1 Stanford (22-1-0) is currently on a 20-match win streak and has the best scoring offense in the nation with 86 goals on the season, averaging 3.74 goals and 25.1 shots per match. Along with the best offense, Stanford has one of the top defenses in the country. Stanford is third in the nation in goals against average, allowing .304 goals per match and only conceding seven goals all season. To beat Stanford, South Carolina will have to stop the freshman forward phenom Catarina Macario. While Macario is just a freshman, she has already racked up a fair share of awards. Macario has been named the Pac-12 Forward of the Year, Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, a semi-finalist for the Mac Hermann Trophy and espnW’s Soccer Player of the Year. She leads the nation with 47 points, and is tied for fourth in goals with 17 and tied for fi rst with 13 assists.
