De Peiza delivered this sentiment during The Sunday Roast of the DLP, titled Estimates 2021-2022: DLP Responds. She made the argument that diversification of an economy is an exercise that is best undertaken when the economy is booming, and noted that there had not been a boom for a long time. She also acknowledged that in the last three years of the DLP administration in 2015, 2016 and 2017, there was growth but it was negligible. De Peiza explained that since January 2020, the DLP had framed a programme which was designed to enfranchise GETTING A TREAT!: With restrictions being in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Barbadian shoppers and Barbadians. THE HAMPSHIRE CRICKET SOCIETY Patrons: John Woodcock Shaun Udal James Tomlinson NEWSLETTER No. 371 – MARCH 2018 (2) Wednesday 28 March 2018 – Meeting The society extends a warm welcome to this evening’s speaker, Adrian Aymes, on his return to the Society. He first addressed members in September 2000, during his benefit year. ADRIAN NIGEL AYMES was born in Southampton on 4 June 1964, and attended Bellemoor School. He came late to first-class cricket. He joined the Hampshire staff when 21 years of age in 1986 but did not gain a regular place until he finally displaced Bob Parks some four years later. He gave notice of what was to follow on his first-class debut against Surrey at The Oval in 1987. With Hampshire in trouble, he battled to 58 not out. Subsequently, no player in the first-class game during the 1990s sold his wicket more dearly. He was undefeated in a high proportion of his innings, which spoke volumes for his technique, temperament and sheer cussedness. With Robin Smith, he became the beating heart and consciousness of the Hampshire batting. If he took root and dug in, Hampshire were generally assured of a competitive total. All of his eight centuries were made in adversity. Of all Hampshire’s wicket-keepers, only his successor, Nic Pothas, has a higher batting average. He was a passionately proud professional, and never gave less than his best. He was fortunate to keep wicket to two of the genuinely great bowlers in the history of the game. At the start of his career, he stood back to the incomparable Malcolm Marshall; latterly, he kept to the unique Shane Warne.

DECISION Tina Ngata’s comment followed operations committee chairman Larry Foster’s closing remarks over what the appropriate imagery for the district might be, suggesting the possibility of a Maori and Pakeha embracing with a hongi and earning a rebuke from Ms Ngata. In revoking their decision, all 13 councillors and Mayor Rehette Stoltz agreed to instead “seek widespread community feedback and to consult REVOKED specifically with Tairawhiti iwi about the future location for the Endeavour replicas”. Sussex CCC vs Kent 2 Day Friendly The 1st Central County Ground, Hove Thursday 28th – Friday 29th March 2019 Day One Sussex’s bowlers will take plenty of encouragement from the first day of their pre- season friendly against Kent after taking 13 top-order wickets at The 1st Central County Ground on Thursday. In his first outing since undergoing hip surgery during the off-season, Ollie Robinson bowled ten overs without difficulty, picking up three for 18. At one stage he had the remarkable figures of three for none from six overs as he wreaked havoc amongst Kent’s batsmen, who it was agreed would bat for the entirety of the day’s 90 overs. Robinson struck with the third ball of the day, a length delivery that nipped back and sent Sean Dickson’s off-stump cartwheeling. Robinson had the ball moving the other way for his second dismissal, a full-pitched outswinger that made its move too late for Daniel Bell-Drummond to do anything about it crashing into his wicket. A winter of recuperation in the groundsman’s shed, the Hove off-stump was being given very little time to adjust to another season of battery from Sussex’s leading wicket-taker of 2018. Chris Jordan struck next - Adam Rouse caught down the legside by Ben Brown for a duck - before Robinson was at it again. This time it was a shorter delivery that did the business as Zack Crawley sent the ball ballooning off the back of his bat to Michael Burgess in the gully to leave Kent in dire straits at 19 for 4.
