Emergency Assistance to Non-public Schools (EANS) under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSA Act)

The final allocations for the Emergency Assistance to Non-public Schools (EANS) program are listed below. The Maine Department of Education is implementing a weighted approach using existing enrollment data collected for ESEA Federal Programs equitable services, poverty data of the non-public school community from the Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates (SAIPE) program by the U.S. Census Bureau and impact of COVID-19 data collected from the first phase of the EANS application, the intent to apply. The Maine Department of Education is responsible for prioritizing the provision of services or assistance to non-public schools that enroll low-income students and are most impacted by COVID-19.
