The award recognizes his tireless efforts, through Bridget Hester and Christina Capozza; assistant coach Andy the establishment of shelters, to care for unwanted animals. We extend our appreciation to Ms. Stickney for Chykaliuk, Jay Vance, Tom Taylor, Randy Hitchcock and Craig her dedication to the citizens of the State; (HLS 11) McDonald; and Head Coach Jack Flynn. We extend our Dean Evans, of Gorham, who is being honored by having the congratulations and best wishes to the team and the school on Gorham High School Gymnasium named after him. He is this championship season; (HLS 3) receiving this honor for his many years of community service to Walter Litchfield, of Sumner, on the occasion of his retireml~nt the town and for his service to Gorham High School as a teacher after 10 years as Fire Chief of the Sumner Volunteer Fire and coach. We extend our appreciation to Mr. Evans for his Department. Chief Litchfield, known to family and friends as dedication to the citizens of the State; (HLS 12) Wally, was a founding member of the department and has served Bev Wrigley, of Oakland, for her participation in the Head the department faithfully for 4 decades. During his tenure, the Start holiday festivities for 36 years, and for all she does to help department has nearly doubled in terms of both equipment and her community. Bev has worked for the Bureau of Information trained membership. We join the citizens of his community in Services for the past 12 years. She is retiring in August after sending to him our appreciation for his dedicated service and working for 46 years for the State of Maine. We acknowledge her commitment to the Sumner Volunteer Fire Department; (HLS 4) valuable and dedicated service to the people of the State of Christopher Hughes, of Oxford, a member of Boy Scout Maine, and we extend our congratulations and best wishes to Troop No. 196, who has attained the high rank and distinction of her; (HLS 13) Eagle Scout. We extend our congratulations to Christopher on • Pilots Grill. The restaurant will close at the end of December this accomplishment; (HLS 5) 2002 after 62 years as a Bangor institution. The restaurant, a Michael Wilhelm, Superintendent of School Administratiive family business run by the Zoidis family, has served as the stage District 75, who has been named Superintendent of the Year by for many of the State's most historic events, from end-of-war the Maine School Superintendents Association. We extend our celebrations to political victory parties. Pilots Grill has been at its congratulations to Mr. Wilhelm on this accomplishment; (HLS 6) current location for almost 50 years, moving from its original site the Lawrence High School Boys Soccer Team, on its winning near the runway of the then Bangor Airfield in 1956. Current the 2002 State Class A Soccer Championship. We extend ()ur owner Bill Zoidis took over the restaurant from his father and his congratulations and best wishes to the team and the school on two uncles and was a partner with Andy Gass for almost 30 this championship season; (HLS 7) years. We extend our appreciation to the Zoidis family for the Falmouth "Yachtsmen" High School Girls Soccer Team, providing a place of fine dining to the citizens of the State for so on its winning the 2002 State Class B Soccer Championship: many years; (HLS 14) H-1838 LEGISLATIVE RECORD - HOUSE APPENDIX December 4, 2002 to November 30, 2004 Sidney Branson, of Windham, a family doctor in Windham for service to his community and send to him our congratulations on 45 years. Dr. Branson came to Windham and began his practice this accomplishment; (HLS 23) in 1940. He served in the United States Army during World War Ann Milliken Hamlin, of East Millinocket, beloved wife of Dr. II as captain in the Army Medical Corps, with a 2 1/2-year tour of Irvin E. Hamlin, an active participant in civic organizations and a duty in the Pacific Theater, from New Caledonia to Okinawa. He member of the Maine Harness Horseman's Association. Mrs. was a member of numerous fraternal and professional Hamlin was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, a trustee of MCI and organizations and was president of the Maine Academy of Family served on the boards of Community Health and Counseling Practice and the Portland Medical Club. He was on the attending Services, Oak Park Manor and Katahdin Friends. She enjoyed staff of Maine Medical Center, Mercy Hospital and Westbrook playing pitch and bridge with her friends and had an unending Hospital. Dr. Branson was instrumental in starting the passion for horses. She will be greatly missed by her loving Department of Family Practice at Maine Medical Center in 1957, family and many friends; (IN MEMORIAM) (HLS 24) which was responsible for training residents in family practice. the Franklin County Children's Task Force on its 25th He was county medical examiner for 25 years, physician for Anniversary. The task force performs important work for and is Maine Correctional Center, college physician for St. Joseph's dedicated to the children of Franklin County. We extend our College, health officer and school physician for the town of congratulations and best wishes to the task force; (HLS 25) Windham and member of the Windham School Board for 2 terms.
