TRAVEL AND ARRIVAL Arrival by airplane / car The closest airport to Villasimius is the Cagliari Elmas Airport (approx. one hour away). The Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport is the second international airport on the island, however it is located in the north and approx. three hours away by car. Villasimius at the southwest end of the marina (see map in slide 5 of this Venue Info Pack). GC32 RT 2021 15 9. TECHNICAL AREA AT MARINA Craning at Marina di Villasimius Craning is provided by the Organising Authority during the official craning schedules (see ENoR). For additional craning outside the official event craning schedules the crane can be booked for a fee of €150 per movement (to be done consecutively) through Andi Drack +43 676 590 38 59 or Christian Scherrer +41 79 421 62 17. Before 9th of September your contacts for craning are Mirco Babini +39 335 701 59 59 and Amedeo Ferrrigno +39 070 797 006. Any craning after Tuesday 14th September 18:00 is not permitted without permission of the OA (see ENoR 14). The craning out sequence of the boats after the last race on Sunday will be communicated by the Organising Authority. The OA will provide a craning list accordingly. Craning will start straight after the last regatta. There will be no craning during the period of the prize giving. GC32 RT 2021 16 10. FURTHER LOCATION INFORMATION Parking at Marina di Villasimius Parking is available at the Marina di Villasimius. Two cards access key cards will be handed out per team at the Marina di Villasimius reception desk. Berthing at Marina di Villasimius The Organising Authority will provide an assigned berth for each boat at Marina di Villasimius. Support boats / training before regatta Please read the special instructions in the Notice of Race (NoR) point 6. and the Event Notice of Race (ENoR), point 13. Support Boats, applying to all support boats in Villasimius. If you are training before the start of the event check in with Mirco Babini for a dedicated briefing and instructions. Please be aware that the Marina di Villasimius is located inside a protected marine area (Area Marina Protteta Copa Carbonara) http://www.ampcapocarbonara.it/home.html GC32 RT 2021 17 10. COVID REGULATIONS AND PROTOCOL General situation in Italy and Sardinia The difficult health situation caused by Covid-19 persists worldwide and throughout Italy. Despite the general improvement of the situation especially in Europe since this spring, there are still many restrictions and regulations on travelling and the organisation of events. Working with local organisers, the GC32 Class will take all possible precautions, and adhere to all local restrictions, to minimise the chances of spreading the virus. General information about the situation in Italy and the utilisation of the green pass can be found under the following link on the website of the Ministry of foreign affairs: https://www.esteri.it/mae/en/ In Italy, regions are classified in four areas (red, orange, yellow and white) corresponding to three risk scenarios, for which specific restrictive measures are foreseen. On the date of the publication all regions are classified as white area. COVID REGULATIONS AND PROTOCOL Regulation for sailing events by the Italian Sailing Federation In addition to the Italian national and regional regulations, the GC32 World Championship in Villasimius will be conducted under the regulations and recommendation of the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV) and their protocol which will follow later this month.

    Pier Virgilio Arrigoni The discovery of the Sardinian Flora (XVIII-XIX Centuries) Abstract Arrigoni, P. V.: The discovery of the Sardinian Flora (XVIII-XIX Centuries). — Bocconea 19: 7-31. 2006. — ISSN 1120-4060. The history of the floristic exploration of Sardinia mainly centres round the works of G.G. Moris, who in the first half of the XIX century described most of the floristic patrimony of the island. But it is important to know the steps he took in his census, the areas he explored, his publications, motivations and conditions under which he wrote the "Stirpium sardoarum elenchus" and the three volumes of "Flora sardoa", a work moreover which he left incomplete. Merit is due to Moris for bringing the attention of many collectors, florists and taxonomists to the Flora of the Island, individuals who in his foot-steps helped to complete and update the floristic inventory of the island. Research into the history of our knowledge of the Sardinian Flora relies heavily on the analysis of botanical publications, but many other sources (non- botanical texts, chronicles of the period, correspondence) also furnish important information. Finally, the names, dates and collection localities indicated on the specimens preserved in the most important herbaria were fundamental in reconstructing the itineraries of the sites Moris visited. All these sources allowed us to clarify several aspects of the expeditions, floristic col- lections and results of his studies. The "discovery phase" of Sardinian Flora can be considered over by the end of the XIX century with the publication of the "Compendium" by Barbey (1884-1885) and "Flora d'Italia" by Fiori & Paoletti (1896-1908).

In this paper, we present an analysis of the results of the implementation of the ETIS during the period 2013–2016, in the Italian tourist destination of South Sardinia. While the implementation of ETIS constitutes a significant advancement in Italy, and more widely in Europe, our findings reveal that an adaptive management approach is necessary for achieving the anticipated objectives and adapting these standardized indicators to different territorial contexts. Difficulties were encountered in both data collection and stakeholders’ involvement in the implementation process. Insufficient knowledge, and familiarity with the complex technical aspects of the indicator toolkit among primary stakeholders, was another constraint associated with its implementation.
