Maria Luigia BORSI Soprano Maria Luigina Borsi is born in Sora, she studied Singing with Antonietta Stella, Claudio Desderi and Renata Scotto. First contracts brought her to Lucca with "L'amico Fritz", to Rossini Festival in Wildbad with "Comte Ory" and "Maometto II", to Festival Avanches as Micaela and to Torre del Lago as Liu. Her international career started with singing Liu at Scala Milano and Violetta with Mo. Lorin Maazel at Teatro la Fenice in Venice . Very soon she made her successful debuts at Festival Salzburg as Desdemona, in Zurich as Violetta, at Berlin Philharmonie with Suor Angelica, at Teatro Liceu in Barcelona as Mimi, at Deutsche Oper Berlin as Mimi, at New National Theatre Tokyo as Fiordiligi and Desdemona, at Arena di Verona as Micaela, in Copenhagen as Butterfly, at Festival Orange as Liu, in Pittsburgh as Butterfly, in Moscow as Leonora in "Trovatore". She returned to many of these theatres with other roles of her repertoire. She sang with London Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Tokyo Philharmonic, Münchner Philharmoniker, Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. She was heard in the opening concert of EXPO in Milan, where she shared the stage with the orchestra of Teatro alla Scala Recent and future contracts until 2021 include Desdemona and Aida in Auckland , Mimi at the Royal Danish Opera Copenhagen and in Atlanta , Tosca with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Contessa in "Le nozze di Figaro" at the Gothenburg Opera, Desdemona in Oviedo , Verdi Requiem in Moscow and Prague , Liu at Pittsburgh Opera, “Vier letzte Lieder” in Mexico , concerts with Andrea Bocelli in Pisa and Donna Elvira in Beijing . Ms. Borsi’s discography includes a live "Don Giovanni" with Zubin Mehta , 9° Beethoven with Lorin Maazel , "Turandot" at Teatro la Fenice Venice, Micaela with Franco Zeffirelli , "Maometto II" and her first solo album “Italian Soprano Arias” with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yves Abel . .
