In this study, it is described, illustrated and distinguished from other pleurotoid Clitopilus species with rhodocyboid spores, particularly from other members of (Rhodocybe) sect. Claudopodes Key words — Entolomataceae, phylogeny, taxonomy Introduction Gminder (2005) described a remarkable pleurotoid species with rhodocyboid spores from a hothouse in the botanical garden in Jena, Germany. It was provisionally called “Rhodocybe byssisedoides” because of its resemblance to Entoloma byssisedum (Pers.) Donk. In a recent molecular phylogenetic study of the Entolomataceae (where this new species was included as “Rhodocybe sp.”), it has been shown that Clitopilus is nested within Rhodocybe. As a result, both genera were merged into Clitopilus sensu lato (Co-David et al. 2009). In this study, we formally describe the new species, Clitopilus byssisedoides and compare it to the other pleurotoid taxa. Material and methods The morphology was studied on dried material with standard methods, using sections mounted in either ammonia 5% or Congo red and a Leica DM1000 microscope. In the ITS phylogeny pre- sented here, all species belong to the Sinuatum clade, one of five well-supported lineages of subgenusEntoloma (= Rhodopolia & Nolanidea). We report 80 literature articles which include 14 new taxa described from Texas. We also report on 120 new records of fleshy basdiomycetous fungi collected primarily from southeast Texas. RESUMEN Este es un segundo artículo que documenta el registro de nuevas especies de hongos carnosos basidiomicetos, incluyendo artículos antiguos y recientes. Reportamos 80 artículos científicamente relacionados con estas especies que incluyen 14 taxones con holotipos en Texas. Así mismo, reportamos unos 120 nuevos registros de hongos carnosos basidiomicetos recolectados primordialmente en al sureste de Texas. PART I—MYCOLOGICAL LITERATURE ON TEXAS FLESHY BASIDIOMYCOTA Lewis and Ovrebo (2009) previously reported on literature for Texas fleshy Basidiomycota and also listed new vouchered records for Texas of that group. Presented here is an update to the listing which includes literature published since 2009 and also includes older references that we previously had not uncovered. The authors’ primary research interests center around gilled mushrooms and boletes so perhaps the list that follows is most complete for the fungi of these groups. We have, however, attempted to locate references for all fleshy basidio- mycetous fungi. -

Leptonia in boreal-temperate Eurasia, combining a critical morphological examina- Entolomataceae tion with a multigene phylogeny based on nrITS, nrLSU and mtSSU sequences. A total of 16 taxa was investigated. morphology Emended concepts of subg. Leptonia and sect. Leptonia as well as the new sect. Dichroi are presented. Two species multiple gene phylogeny (Entoloma percoelestinum and E. sublaevisporum) and one variety (E. tjallingiorum var. laricinum) are described as neotypes new to science. On the basis of the morphological and phylogenetical evidence E. alnetorum is reduced to a variety new species of E. tjallingiorum, and E. venustum is considered a variety of E. callichroum. Accordingly, the new combinations E. tjallingiorum var. alnetorum and E. callichroum var. venustum are proposed. Entoloma lepidissimum var. pau- ciangulatum is now treated as a synonym of E. chytrophilum. Neotypes for E. di chroum, E. euchroum and E. lam- propus are designated. Total number of genera in the database: 526 Anamorphic fungi (see p. 4), which are disseminated by propagules not formed from cells where meiosis has occurred, are presently not grouped by class, order, etc. Most propagules can be referred to as "conidia," but some are derived from unspecialized vegetative mycelium. A significant number are correlated with fungal states that produce spores derived from cells where meiosis has, or is assumed to have, occurred. These are, where known, members of the ascomycetes or basidiomycetes. However, in many cases, they are still undescribed, unrecognized or poorly known. A Re-Evaluation of Gasteroid and Cyphelloid Species of Entolomataceae from Eastern North America
A RE-EvALUATiON Of gASTEROiD AND CyPHELLOiD SPECiES Of Entolomataceae fROM EASTERN North AMERiCA TimoThy J. Baroni1 and P. Brandon maTheny2 Abstract. The gasteroid genus Richoniella and the cyphelloid genus Rhodocybella (Entolomataceae) are poorly known fungal genera that have yet to be evaluated in depth in a molecular phylogenetic context. Here, we report a recent find, including detailed descriptions and photographs, of the rarely collected gasteroid species Richo- niella asterospora from southeast North America. Phylogenetic placement of this species within a multi-gene treatment of the Entolomataceae supports the polyphyly of Richoniella. Richoniella asterospora shares an alli- ance with agaricoid and secotioid species within the diverse, heteromorphic genus Entoloma. Also rarely encoun- tered is the cyphelloid genus Rhodocybella, known only from southeast North America. Molecular annotation and phylogenetic analysis of the holotype suggest an affiliation with two lignicolous European pileate-stipitate species of Entoloma, E. pluteisimilis and E. zuccherellii. Results from molecular annotation of three additional species of Entolomataceae are also reported. in addition, we propose recognition of the following robust mono- phyletic groups: the Pouzarella clade within the genus Entoloma; and the genera Rhodocybe and Clitopilopsis and the Rhodophana clade, apart from the genus Clitopilus, within which they have been recently subsumed. Both Richoniella asterospora and Rhodocybella rhododendri are transferred to the genus Entoloma to maintain its monophyly.
