Day 1 Kilimanjaro Airport / Arumeru river Lodge

Meet and greet at Kilimanjaro airport upon arrival

Jour 2 Arumeru /

Leave lodge after breakfast and make your way to Arusha National Park, only about 30/40 mn away from the lodge.

Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha National park offers breathtaking view over the mountain as well as nearby Mt Kilimanjaro and its eternal snows. A good number of African species can be found in this park : girafes, antelopes, hippos, buffalos and the famous Black and White Colobus Monkey.

Then head back to lodge in the afternoon Dinner & overnight at Arumeru River Lodge (4****)

Day 3 Arumeru / Tarangire / Maweninga Camp

Depart from River Trees after breakfast and make your way towards .

Full day game drive in Tarangire with picnic lunch.

This 2 600 sqm park is the home of rare species such as the Gerenuk, small Kudu, and Oryx… Late Summer & Autumn is a great time to game drive in this park and lots can be seen: Big cats, Elephants (thousands can even be seen in one day!), Giraffes, Buffalos…

Maweninga camp is installed atop a great granite massif, in the north-west of Tarangire National Park. It is part of the small number of accommodations installed in the national park itself.

Day 4 Manyara NP / Bashay Rift Lodge

In the morning, head to Manyara National Park for a full day game drive with picnic lunch under acacia trees.

Although the smallest of all north Tanzanian National Parks, Manyara National Park offers an important variety of animals including Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos… in a wonderful setting surrounded by the Rift Valley and the Manyara Lake with its thousands of birds.

Resume game drive in the morning in Tarangire NP. Then exit National Park around late morning time and drive towards Karatu, at the foot of Ngorongoro Crater.

Superb Scenic road as you will pass by Lake Manyara, the Rift Excarpment and the Karatu Redlands…

Check-in at Bashay Rift Lodge Then rest of the afternoon at leisure

Built on top of a hill, this lodge offers breathtaking views (360°) over the Ngorongoro walls on one end and the Rift Valley on the other. Small exclusive property of 26 rooms. Swimming pool on site and charming accommodation providing our guests with 4* services Additional activities include : mountain biking, guided walks, massage.

Day 5 Bashay Rift lodge / Eyasi Lake / Bashay Rift lodge

In the early morning, drive towards the shores of Lake Eyasi to meet the Hadzabe tribe.

Spend the entire morning learning from the Hadzabes, their ancestral way of life and spend some time hunting & walking with them.

A local guide will be taking you throughout this great experience. Head back to the lodge for a late lunch and enjoy Bashay facilities & swimming pool in the afternoon. Mountain biking and local walks are also possible.

Day 6 Bashay Rift lodge / Ngorongoro Crater / Olduvai camp

Leave lodge after breakfast & enjoy a full day game driving in the Ngorongoro Crater. Picnic lunch in the crater.

The crater is a unique place in the world, 20 km wide and home of hundreds of different species all protected by a 600m wall.All the big African mammals can be found in the crater: Big cats, Elephants, Hippos and last but not least, Rhinos.

Afternoon drive to Olduvai Camp Upon arrival at the camp, you will be met by Maasai warriors and you will be taken by foot (20mn walk) to a nearby Kopje to admire sunset over the southern Serengeti plains.

Definitely a great moment not to be missed!

Olduvai camp is the longest established and best known of our camps. Originally set up in 1990, it has been located in a spectacular site at Kiloki Hill, not far from Olduvai Gorge, since 1994. Over the years, the Camp has undergone many changes and improvements to offer a unique and authentic “Out of Africa” bush style while retaining an undisputed standard of comfort and welcoming atmosphere.

Day 7 & 8 Olduvai Camp / / Ronjo Camp

Head to Serengeti NP after breakfast. Spend these 2 days exploring Serengeti NP.

This park, undoubtedly the most famous in the world, covers over 14 000 sq. km and offers amongst many other things the biggest concentration of big cats in the world (Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards, Wild cats…). Many different landscapes can be found in the Serengeti: Savannah with the big plains to the south, the hills & woods to the west, the kopjes area to the east, and bush land to the north.

Dinners and overnights at Ronjo Camp

Permanent camp in the heart of Serengeti National Park Large & comfortable tents (Beds & bed linen, true safari atmosphere…), Showers & toilets in each tent Great atmosphere in the evening around the fire camp and in the bar & mess tent with petrol lamp lightning.

Day 9 Ronjo Camp / Grumeti Hills

Resume game drive in Serengeti NP in the morning Lunch at Camp.

Then make your way towards Grumeti Hills in the afternoon. Check-in at Grumeti Hills in the afternoon.

Rest of the day at leisure Dinner & overnight at Grumeti Hills

Bordering Serengeti NP, in the heart of the Grumeti Game Reserve, Grumeti Hills offers outstanding safari accommodation. 16 spacious tents all en suite & all facing the great plains. Main facilities include : Bar, restaurant, swimming pool, with an awesome view on Serengeti plains Walking safari & night game drive available

Day 10 Grumeti Private Area / Serengeti NP / Grumeti Hills

A walking safari will be organized on that day in the morning. You will leave the lodge early morning on foot with a local guide and an armed ranger. This will be the opportunity to find out more about the Grumeti Game Controlled Area as well as observing nature & wildlife from a different angle.

At the end of the walking safari (which lasts for about 1h30), a delicious bush breakfast will be served by the Grumeti River. Quite a spectacular venue…

Your driver-guide will drive you back to the lodge for some time at leisure (enjoy our superb pool and massage). Lunch will then be served at the lodge.

Afternoon will be “à la carte” with the possibility to go back on safari in the Grumeti Game Controlled Area &/or spend additional time relaxing at the lodge.

Early Dinner will be served tonight before an exciting night Game Drive ! Overnight at Grumeti Hills

Day 11 Grumeti Hills / Arusha / Kilimanjaro Airport

Quick transfer in the morning to Ikoma Airstrip where you will board a regular scheduled flight service back to Arusha.

Superb scenic flight over the Serengeti Plains, the Ngorongoro and the Craters, The Rift Valley…

You will be met in Arusha and transferred to Shanga restaurant for lunch and then on to Kilimanjaro Airport for your return flight back home.
