Golmud to Tuotuo River There is a well-known bridge in the Hol xil area, Qingshui River Bridge, at an elevation of 4,600 m. It's the longest bridge crossing over the plateau permafrost and nature reserve in china. Its total length is 11.7 km, and there are more than 1,300 archways for animals to pass through. I am sure you will feel good when walking on the bridge. Except Qingshui river bridge, there is a famous tunnel in Hol xil area, Wind Volcanic Tunnel, which is a railway tunnel with a length of 1,338 m and the highest permafrost tunnel in the world, so I don't think you want to miss it. Rough highland climate dominates this area with frozenly cold at nighttime and strong wind at daytime. Tuotuo River to Nagqu

Keep moving to south, We will get to Tanggula Mountain Pass after passing by the Buqiangge station. The Tangula Mountain pass is the highest point (5,231 m) of Qinghai-Tiebt Highway. Leaving Tanggula Mountain Pass and just travelling another 91 kilometers, your next stop, will be Amdo where you can visit Cuona Lake. The Cuona Lake is the headwater of Nujiang river, at an elevation of 4,800 metres. It's the highest fresh water lake in the world. It will be Nagqu after you leave Amdo and keep moving for 129 kilometers. At the same time, the elevation will lower down gradually. Nagqu, at an elevation of 4,600 meters, means "black river" in Tibetan language. You will cross the Qiangtang prairie, where you could enjoy a magnificent pastoral view, like groups of sheep and yaks grazing on the endless green grassland. We will stay in Hotel and team BTE will arrange Folk dance and music with Local Cuisine for your evening.

Nagqu to Lhasa Ok, the good news is that you will get to Lhasa in 7 hours, and the distance is 320 kilometers. And the must-see scenic spot is Namtso Lake, which is a mountain lake on the border between Damxung County of Lhasa Prefecture and Baingoin County of Nagqu Prefecture. This salt lake at an elevation of 4,718 m is the second largest lake in the Tibet Autonomous Region. What's more, Namtso is renowned as one of the most beautiful places in the Nyainqentanglha mountain range. Ok, the last destination is not far from you now, your dream is coming true. I guess you must be a little tired, but don't worry, because you can have a wonderful hot spring in Yangpachen, about 245 km away from Nagqu. Yangbajing is a town approximately 87 kilometers (54 miles) north- west of Lhasa. It is famous for the Yangbajing hot springs and power station.

Yangbajing Hot Springs Field is at an altitude of 4,290-4,500 m, which makes it the highest altitude set of hot springs in China, and possibly in the world. The power station have been harnessed to produce much of the electricity for the capital Lhasa, so it is very important for local people. After the wonderful hot springs, more 75 kilometers, you will get to Lhasa, which is the political, economic and cultural center as well as the Administrative capital of Tibet Autonomous Region. And Lhasa is one of the highest cities in the world. Upon arrival in the Lhasa, you will be met by your Local Expert and Get the celebrity treatment with world-class service at The St. Regis Lhasa Resort. Then have a rest in Lhasa to acclimatize the high altitude. In the morning, you will go to the most splendid museum, the Potala Palace, and explore the grandest chapels of its kind and see the jeweled burial chorten of past Dalai Lamas as well as statuary, frescoes and paintings. Later visit the Jokhang Temple, which is considered as the most sacred temple in Tibet, and draws tremendous number of pilgrims from all over Tibet each year for it houses a magnificent image of Sakyamuni at 12 years old. Last Day, you will explore Tibet’s two greatest monasteries, Drepung and Sera which once housed about 10,000 monks. Drepung Monastery is situated at the foothill of a mountain and was founded by Jamyang Choeje in 1416. The monastery is divided into two different colleges that are Drepung loselling and Drepung Gomang college. The Ganden podrang was famous among them as it is the government centre during fifth Dalai lama and later was moved to the famous Potala palace during fifth Dalai lama. In the afternoon tourists explore the Sera Monastery which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa’s disciple Jamchen Choeje. The whole monastery is divided into two colleges and there are Sera ‘jhe’ and Sera ‘may’ respectively. Among them ‘Tsokhang chenmo’ where the monks from all the colleges assemble and pray together there. You can also see monks debating there in the courtyard at around 6-7:30 in the afternoon section. Note: if you don’t feel tired, you can try kora(circling around religious sites) Drepung and Sera monastery. Your Local Expert and driver will drop you back to your hotel. Tibetan opera has a long history and its origin may be traced back to the Khrisong Detson Period in the eighth century. At the inauguration of the Samye Monastery, the artists, combining the Tibetan folk dance with the Buddhist stories, performed a kind of pantomimic dancing ritual. In the past, it was performed in the open air and accompanied only by drums and small cymbals. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, Tibetan opera has been on the stage, and the aria and band have been reformed, thus enriching the expressive force of the music of Tibetan opera.

Lhasa to Gyirong Gyirong Port, the newest border crossing from Nepal into Tibet in China, is one of the most important modern border crossings in the world, and is set to become even more important as time passes and railways link the plateau with the exotic city of Kathmandu. Gyirong County is rated as having one of the most beautiful valleys in the world, As the deepest of the five mid-Himalayas Valleys, Gyirong Valley is one of the most stunning locations in Tibet for lush flora and abundant fauna, and has been rated as the most beautiful unknown valley on the plateau. The journey would take around 12 hours of constant driving and cover a distance of 835.8 kilometers (519.34 miles). The Pashupatinath Temple lies in the banks of Holy Bagmati river. The main temple is a golden pagoda tier roofs and four silver doors. Then drive towards the northeast reaching Bouddhanath Stupa. Also famous as the “Little Tibet” of Nepal due to strong Tibetan influence here in culture, traditions, and religion.
