It was a huge success, and for many of the girls, it was their only Christmas celebration. The support shown by both the parents at the school and the parishioners at the church was overwhelming, and we can't say enough how moving it was to see your love in action for these young ladies.

It was so successful, in fact, that we have decided to make this an annual tradition at St. Martins. We received confirmation that we will be hosting girls from the same group home again this year, and our Christmas party will be on Saturday, December 21 from 10am - 12pm. The ages of the ladies ranges from 13-17 years old, and we expect about 15-18 guests.

We would love your help and support again this year. We are asking for volunteers to help with shopping for and wrapping gifts, planning party games and activities, organizing the food, decorating the parish center, and setting up and cleaning up the day of the party. We also want to include our parish teens as party guests to add to the sense of fun and help make these young ladies feel welcomed as guests of honor.

We are also asking for donations to help us fund this event. Donations can be made through any Sunday collection by noting "Foster Care Christmas" in the check memo or by donating online at the SMT website (PayPal or CC accepted) and noting "Foster Care Christmas" in the notes section. You can also drop off donation funds at the school (via backpack mail to the office) or parish office directly. Again, just be clear that you're designating the SMT will funds for the Foster event. have a special If you have any questions or would like to collecon sign up to volunteer, please reach out to for the Grace Miller via email at [email protected].
