About USI Location The University of Southern Indiana was founded in Evansville in 1965. USI is a comfortable drive from the major metropolitan centers of Indianapolis, Cincin- nati, Louisville, Nashville, and St. Louis. The Campus The Health Professions Center, Science Center, Wright Administration Building, the Education Center, and the Orr Center are located on the north side of cam- pus. Rice Library, the University Center, the Liberal Arts Center, the Technology Center, and the Business and Engineering Center, now under construction, form the quadrangle in the center of campus. The Physical Activities Center and the Recreation and Fitness Center, which is undergoing a substantial addition, are located east of University Boulevard, a major thoroughfare through campus. Apartment buildings and residence halls are home to 2,700 students who live on campus. Academic Life The University enrolls 10,126 students and offers undergraduate majors in 70 areas of study. An ever-increasing number of post-graduate programs also are available to students who wish to continue their education. Opportunities are available for service learning, study abroad, and internships. Campus Life Outside the classroom, students have opportunities to participate in more than 90 organizations offering co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Special interest clubs, student government, sororities and fraternities, music and drama groups, and other organizations enable the students to enjoy and contribute to campus life. Residence Life Students living on campus have their choice of two types of housing. Students can live in standard apartments or in suite-style housing in residence halls which have amenities such as Internet connections, wireless Internet, and cable television. Computer labs, laundromats, a convenience store, outdoor and indoor recreation areas, and student lounges contribute to an efficient living environment that has proven to be overwhelmingly popular to students. Meal plans also are avail- able at the University Center, which is located in the center of cam- pus. Financial Assistance USI provides families with an affordable way to higher education. While some families find that they can handle the cost of a USI education without financial assistance, others qualify for need-based financial packages, including grants, loans, and on-campus jobs. 2009 Men’s Soccer Media Guide www.gousieagles.com 2009 USI Soccer 2009 Women's Soccer Information 2009 Women’s Soccer Schedule General Date Opponent Time Name of School: University of Southern Indiana Aug. 15 at Southern Illinois Univ.
