The irst for these sports will be July 6th. Boys & Girls Basketball will begin July 13th. Essential Personnel ONLY- There are no spectators permitted at any of our venues until Phase 3, with the exception of Girls Golf. Practice Plans - Are being developed in detail and will be approved by the Directors of Athletics by June 24th for Phase 1. Hours & Days Permitted • No more than 15 hours per week for multi-sport athletes. • Two Team Activity Days no more than 3 hours per session. • Two Conditioning Days limited to 2 hours per day. No Contact • Cheer and Dance may work on individual skills only, no stunting. • Social Distancing is enforced (minimum 6 feet apart). • Focus should be on individual skills and conditioning. Group Sizes • 15 athletes per coach. • Tracking Sheets are to be completed by each coach daily and turned into the athletic office prior to leaving school. Weight Room & Locker Rooms - Both will be closed during Phase 1. Restrooms - We will have the following restrooms available during the Summer: K Building Restrooms - Baseball & Softball Concession Restrooms - Door O Restrooms Student- athletes should enter one at a time and are required to wash their hands following CDC guidelines to ensure proper handwashing. Face Coverings • Staff - All PTS should wear face coverings at all times unless under rigorous activity or poses a health risk. • Students - Athletes are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering to their session. o Athletes may remove their face covering during workouts. o Athletes are encouraged to put their face covering back on upon completion of their session and if they are not actively participating in the training session Equipment (specific to a sport) - May be shared but will need to be disinfected between sessions. Football will no utilize any helmets or pads during Phase 1. Student-Athlete Requirements • Must have a completed 20-21 IHSAA pre-participation physical along with Consent and Concussion on file in the athletic office. OR Must have a completed 19-20 IHSAA pre- participation physical along with Consent, Concussion AND 20-21 Health History Update questionnaire and Consent & Release Certificate on file in the athletic office. • Must come prepared for participation and leave immediately after. Clothes must be washed prior to their next workout (if wearing the same clothes). If a student-athlete attends with the same dirty clothes, they will be sent home. • Bring your own water bottle(filled), we will not provide nor are they permitted to share. • Face coverings are encouraged to be worn to their training session and when they are not actively participating. They may choose to wear them during training sessions • Students are encouraged bring their own hand sanitizer. • Proper social distancing is mandated (6 feet apart). • Provide honest answers to all screening questions asked by their coach prior to each workout session. Transportation – None will be provided during Phase 1. Phase 2 (July 20th – August 14th) Sports Permitted – Cheerleading, Boys & Girls Cross Country, Dance, Football, Girls & Boys Soccer, Boys Tennis, Volleyball, Boys & Girls Basketball, Gymnastics & Wrestling Essential Personnel ONLY- There are no spectators permitted at any of our venues until Phase 3, with the exception of Girls Golf who start their season Aug 5th. Spectators permitted if proper social distancing is enforced. Hours & Days Permitted • May go 6 days per week, all workouts will be approved by the Directors of Athletics. • Beginning August 3rd, fall sports will begin regular season practices 6 days per week with accommodations. Contact May Begin - Wrestling will only be permitted to do shadow drills and conditioning, no contact permitted. Competition and Scrimmages – No other sport than Girls Golf may have a “formal competition during this time” (scrimmages are not considered formal competitions, this speaks solely to IHSAA and regular season contests. Scrimmages will be limited to inter-squad only. Group Sizes • 50 athletes per coach. • Tracking Sheets are to be completed by each coach daily and turned into the athletic office prior to leaving school. Weight Room & Locker Rooms – The weight room will remain closed during Phase 2. Locker rooms will remain closed for shower usage. Football will be permitted to utilize their locker room to store student-athlete equipment (helmet and shoulder pads only) at 50% capacity. Team Meeting Rooms - May or may not be permitted at 50% capacity with proper social distancing and face coverings required. Restrooms – Same as Phase 1. Face Coverings – Same as Phase 1. Equipment- May be shared but will need to be disinfected between sessions. Football may or may not be permitted to wear helmet and shoulder pads. Student-Athlete Requirements – Same as Phase 1. Transportation – None will be provided the exception will be Girls Golf beginning Aug 5th. (Face Coverings May Be Required) Phase 3 (August 15th and beyond) More Information to follow. Training on symptoms of COVID-19 that require exclusion from any and all activities. Students and employees should be trained to recognize the following COVID-19-related symptoms: • A fever of 100.4° F or greater • Cough • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing • Chills • Repeated shaking with chills • Muscle pain • Headache • Sore throat • New loss of taste or smell Any person with COVID-19 related symptoms will not be allowed to take part in workouts, rehearsals, practices and should contact his or her primary care provider or other appropriate healthcare professional. Students and employees Return to activities after exclusion- Once a student or employee is excluded from the school environment, that may return if they satisfy the recommendations of the CDC. Currently those guidelines are: Untested-Persons who have not received a test proving or disproving the presence of COVID-19 but experience symptoms may return if the following three conditions are met: • They have not had a fever for at least 72 hours (that is three full days of no fever without the use of medicine that reduces fevers); and • Other symptoms have improved (for example, when your cough or shortness of breath have improved); and • At least 10 calendar days have passed since your symptoms first appeared. Tested Positive (Symptomatic)- Persons who experienced symptoms and have been tested for COVID-19 may return to activities if the following conditions have been met: • The individual no longer has a fever (without the use of medicine that reduces fevers); and • Other symptoms have improved (for example, when your cough or shortness of breath have improved); and • At least 10 calendar days have passed since symptoms first appeared; or • The individual has received two negative tests at least 24 hours apart. Tested Positive (Asymptomatic)- Persons who have not had symptoms but test positive for COVID- 19 may return when they have gone ten calendar days without symptoms and have been released by a healthcare provider.
