The Taboo Experience Brings The Vegas Party Scene To Hard Rock Casino Vancouver
COQUITLAM, BC (December 3, 2013) – Founding member of The Black Eyed Peas, Taboo will be bringing his interactive DJ show to the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Taboo – whose real name is Jamie Gómez – has quickly become a global icon with his high-energy live show which has included dates at The Palm’s Moon Nightclub in Las Vegas.
It was in 1995 when Taboo formed The Black Eyed Peas with Will.i.am and Apl.de.ap but it wasn’t until 2003 after Fergie joined the group and they released their breakout album, Elephunk that they were launched into worldwide stardom. Later albums included Monkey Business, The E.N.D. – which spawned the hit singles, “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling” – and The Beginning. Having sold over a staggering 50 million albums, the Grammy Award winners have entertained audiences across the globe with their enigmatic fusion of pop, hip-hop and electronic dance music with Taboo having been a driving force behind their success. In 2011, the group performed at Super Bowl XLV’s halftime show solidifying them as one of the biggest acts in music today.
Since The Black Eyed Peas announced that they were taking a break, Taboo has been performing in his own unique show which features DJing, singing and dancing. In addition to his Vegas appearances, he has taken the show abroad travelling to the UK, France, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Singapore, Shanghai and Taipei. The Taboo Experience is described by Taboo himself as “a night to just let loose while letting all your inhibitions go”.
