They opened at home against Northern Colorado then traveled to Hawaii. Two weeks ago they were in South Carolina and MARCH this last weekend they were in Phoenix against Grand Canyon University. 3 FRI Albany^ W 12-11 3 FRI Coastal Carolina^ L 7-5 SINATRO HEATS UP IN PHOENIX: Sinatro was inserted back into the lead-off spot after slight 4 SAT Winthrop^ W 11-6 early season struggles and in doing so was the catalyst for a USF offense which won two out of 5 SUN Coastal Carolina^ L 1-6 three games on the road against Grand Canyon University. Over the three games USF managed 10 FRI at Grand Canyon W 13-6 to score 28 runs and seven of those were Sinatro crossing the plate. He also drove in three runs as 11 SAT at Grand Canyon W 11-8 he accounted for 10 on the weekend. He hit .500 over the three games with an OBP of .562 and a 12 SUN at Grand Canyon L 5-4 15 WED FRESNO ST. 3 p.m. slugging % of .643 thanks to two doubles. Both Micahel Perri and Dominic Miroglio also have a steal. 21 FRI Santa Clara* 6 p.m. 22 SAT Santa Clara* 6 p.m. BIG BAT AWAKENING: Catcher Dominic Miroglio (who was named to the 2017 Johnny Bench Award 23 SUN Santa Clara* 1 p.m. Watch List) had hit an early rough patch after returning from a hand injury that cost him nearly all 25 TUE CALIFORNIA 3 p.m. of his 2016 season. He started to swing his way out of it two weekends ago in South Carolina as he 27 THU at BYU* 6 p.m. belted three home runs (which vaulted him to the team lead). MAY CONFERENCE PLAY AROUND THE CORNER: Friday, March 17 will mark the WCC opener for the 2 TUE at California 6 p.m. Dons as they host LMU. This will be the first conference opening game the Dons have hosted in the 5 FRI PEPPERDINE* 3 p.m. new Benedetti Diamond. 6 SAT PEPPERDINE* 1 p.m. 7 SUN PEPPERDINE* 1 p.m. PRESEASON ALL-WCC: Nico Giarratano and Ross Puskarich were voted to the Preseason All-WCC 9 TUE at Stanford 5:30 p.m. Team. Giarratano is the WCC's reigning defensive player of the year.
