Family Ties A Compilation of Baseball’s Relatives 2019 - End of Season Active Players and Non-Players With Relatives in Other Sports and Levels About the Family Ties List Who’s included in the list • Major league players, minor league players, and non-players active in the 2019 season who have relatives in other sports and levels. • “Non-players” include managers, coaches, scouts, owners, executives, umpires, broadcasters and other roles. • “Other sports” include baseball, football, basketball, soccer, boxing, track and field, tennis, hockey, golf, and other minor sports. • “Other levels” include Professional, Amateur, College, Foreign Leagues, Negro Leagues, and Olympics. • In addition to Major League-affiliated teams, players and non-players who played in the Mexican League and Independent Leagues are included • Other Family Ties lists at the “Baseball’s Relatives” site below show family relationships between major and minor league players and non-players in pro baseball. • The list was prepared after the completion of the 2019 regular season, so that full-season rosters were considered. Other notes about the contents of the list • Current major leaguers in 2019 are in green-colored font. • Former major leaguers prior to the 2019 season are in red-colored font. • Players in black font have not played in the major leagues. • “Active Player in 2019” column indicates whether a player appeared in the Major Leagues, Minor Leagues, Independent Leagues, or Mexican League during 2019 (Y = Yes). • “Player’s Org in 2019” column indicates a player’s organization in2019, whether at the major league or minor league level. • “Pro Level,” “Org,” and “Role” columns are indicated for non-players who were active in 2019. -
