AGENDA Acting Chairperson Roberts asked if the Panel Members reviewed the Agenda. ACTION: Mr. Smiles moved and Ms. Bell seconded approval of the Agenda. Acting Chairperson Roberts called for a vote, and all Panel Members present voted in the affirmative for approval of the Agenda. Motion carried, 6 to 0. IV. MINUTES Acting Chairperson Roberts asked if the Panel Members reviewed the Meeting Minutes from the last Panel Meeting. ACTION: Ms. Newsom moved and Mr. Smiles seconded the approval of the Meeting Minutes from the last panel meeting. Acting Chairperson Roberts called for a vote, and all Panel Members present voted in the affirmative for approval of the Meeting Minutes from the last panel meeting. Motion carried, 6 to 0 Employment Training Panel April 2, 2021 1 of 9 V. REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Mr. Javier welcomed the Panel Members, Applicants, and Stakeholders and recognized the following persons in attendance: Robert Meyer, Economic Development Unit; Mario Maslac, Research and Analytics Division Manager, Ryan Swier, North Hollywood Regional Office Manager; and Chris Hoover, Foster City Manager, San Francisco Bay Area Regional Office, Manager. Mr. Javier had stated the first thing he needed to do is notify the panel that we are going to pull two items from the agenda this morning, Tabs 22 and Tab 23, Digital Path and the Infinity Energy, we will be bringing those back to future panel meeting, and just have a few details to work through on those two items. You'll see those two items come back during the June panel meeting. With that, for today the contract proposals remaining in this panel packet will be right at about $4.7M. That includes delegation orders that hover right just above $106,000. In June, we anticipate that you will see contract proposals just shy of $14M, which will essentially exhaust the remaining balance of our funds for this year. And having said that, we still have over 700 pre applications in the queue that we just don't have funding for. Over the course of this year, what we've been doing, is we've been prioritizing all the pre apps based on the panel's priorities, which really what it did was it set COVID pilot and COVID respond as a top two priorities for this year. As we've been reporting over the past several meetings, the demand for those two programs alone far exceeded

Epidemiological studies have linked elevated levels of pyrethroid metabolites in urine during development with neurological disorders, raising concern for the safety of children exposed to these agents. Few animal studies have explored the effects or mechanisms of DLM-induced deficits in behavior and cognition after developmental exposure. The aim of the present work is to examine the long-term effects of developmental (postnatal day (P) 3-20) DLM exposure in Sprague-Dawley rats on behavior, cognition, and cellular outcomes. First, the developmental effects of early DLM exposure on allocentric and egocentric learning and memory, locomotor activity, startle, conditioned freezing, and anxiety-like behaviors were assessed. The developmental effects of DLM on long-term potentiation (LTP) at P25-35, on adult dopamine (DA) release, monoamine levels, and mRNA levels of receptors/transporters/channels were then determined. In follow-up experiments, adult LTP, hippocampal glutamate release, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) staining for cell death, as well as DA and glutamate receptors, proinflammatory cytokines, and caspase-3 for protein expression were assessed.

"The sea was full of people," said one survivor, 29-year-old Madeleine Julien, from her hospital bed in this coastal town. "I kept bumping into drowned people." The ferry Neptune went down late Tuesday off Petit Goave, 60 miles west of the capital. But communications are so crude outside the capital it took a group of about 60 survivors a day to first report the accident. U.S. aircraft and vessels dispatched Thursday to help in search-and-rescue efforts reported "lots of debris and lots of bodies," said Coast Guard spokesman, Cmdr. Larry Mizell, liaison in Port-au­ Prince. The Coast Guard said it had found more than 100 bodies floating off Petit Goave. Bodies were earlier reported washing up on the beaches of Miragoane, 18 miles to the west of Petit Goave. Mizell said there was "no correlation between this and the boat people," referring to the tens of thousands of Haitians who have fled their homeland by sea since the army ousted elected President Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 1991. The role of thalamic HCN in SWD occurrence is less clear. Absence epilepsy in the WAG/Rij strain is accompanied by deficiency of the activity of dopaminergic system, which weakens the formation of an emotional positive state, causes depression-like symptoms, and counteracts learning and memory processes.
