Chengdu Initiates GEM Action Plan West China City Daily Chengdu recently initiated its GEM (Growth Enterprise Market) and meanwhile the provincial- level back-up database for listed companies is also established. Chengdu’s High-tech Zone Upgrades to National Innovation Demonstration Zone West China Metropolis Daily In the first half of 2015, 8,044 enterprises registered in Chengdu’s high-tech zone, a year-on- year growth of 59.76%. Newly registered capital (gold) reached 33.887 billion Yuan and newly- registered individual businesses reached 1771. Currently, the level of Chengdu’s high-tech zone incubation carrier and the number of enterprises ranks the top in Sichuan. Chengdu, 2nd Fastest Growing Destination City by International Overnight Visitors Xinhua News Agency Based on data from 2009 to 2015, Mastercard’s report examines how 132 major cities in the world are connected through air travel, and measures how many international travelers each city receives and how much money they spend. Chengdu, in the Chinese province of Sichuan, is the second fastest growing destinations in the world. This index predicts that in 2015, the international visitors will increase from 480,000 in 2009 to 1.49 million in 2015. Chongqing Signs 130 billion Yuan of PPP projects Chongqing daily Chongqing signed another 33 PPP (Public-Private-Partnership) projects and issued an additional 50 billion Yuan of reserve projects.The PPP financing model reform is a key reform promoted by the third plenary session of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC.
