All garbage is to be in CLEAR plastic bags so the contents can be seen; there is provision for one small “privacy bag” to conceal sensitive items such as medical supplies and financial records.

Pop cans are to be separated as these go to support the local Lions’ Club. Plastic bottles and tin cans are to be crushed otherwise they take up too much room in the bin.

COMMUNITY NOTICE

This is a call out to all interested community members,

We are looking to form committees for various groups

1. Education Committee 2. MTO Committee 3. Housing Committee

If any community members would be interested in joining any of these committees please send a letter of interest, (highlighting any strengths you may have that could contribute to your desired committee) to the Director of Operations by March 15, 2018.

Our hope is to have these committees in place before the start of the new Fiscal which is April 1, 2018. NOTICE RE: Postal Delivery

Due to the legalities of the Post System, Canada Post can only deliver to the registered address on file. They deliver by address not by name.

There have been changes to the address system and many are still using the old addresses.

Anyone who is or was using an address with Comp & Site # or Regional Rd these no longer exist.

When entering your address you are only to put your house number and street name Anyone who previously used Regional Rd (your postal box unit and number does not – there is no such thing it is simply your matter and should not be included) also house Number and Hwy 529. Home Owners – Parcels can not be delivered to your door unless you have a green sign – if you do not have a green sign or yours has been vandalized you can contact Larry Olds for a replacement.

Anyone who has moved or moved into a new Unit needs to go to the post office with a piece of ID to register for a mail box and pick up your set of keys right away. Canada Post can not deliver mail till you do.

ONTARIO WORKS DEPARTMENT

Please be aware that the OW Administrator will be away on vacation from February 22-March 2. So it is imperative that income statements are brought in on time (Feb 16) and any other issues that you need to be addressed will have to be done before or after these dates. Sorry for any inconvenience.
