Interagency Standards for Fire and Fire Aviation Operations 2004 states, references, or supplements policy for Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, and National Park Service fire and fire aviation program management. Agency specific exceptions are identified in the text. The Incident Pocket Response Guide (IRPG) NFES #1077 and the Fireline Handbook NFES #0065 are the standard references for interagency fire management operations. For the Bureau of Land Management this document is Handbook 9213-1. For the USDA Forest Service this document is Forest Service Manual 5108. For the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service this document supplements the Fire Management Handbook. For the National Park Service this document supplements Reference Manual 18. The contents of this book are not to be modified. Supplemental direction of a more restrictive nature can be issued separately as per individual agency policy.
