Brett played nine years professionally in the ECHL, UHL & IHL and was a three year letter winner at the University of Minnesota. Coach Strot is currently the head coach of the Tampa Bay Junior hockey program in Ellenton, FL (H.I. training facility) and works with the US Women’s National Team program. Robb Stauber Robb Stauber, Duluth Minn, has been involved with the U.S. Women’s National Team since 2009, focusing on coaching and development of its goaltenders and on the 2015 Olympic team staff in Sochi. Robb played 10 years professional hockey including four in the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings and Buffalo Sabres. At the University of Minn, first goaltender to win the Hobey Baker Award (1988). Recognized as WCHA Goaltender of the Year in 1988 and 1989. He represented the U.S. at the 1987 World Junior Championship and 1989 IIHF World Championship. Stauber served as the goalie coach at the University of Minn men’s team from 1998-2008 (with national championships in 2002/2003) and served in the same capacity for the University of Minn-Duluth’s women’s team from 2004-08 (2008 NCAA Champions). Named to the 1990s squad were forwards Greg Johnson of North Dakota, Brian Bonin of Minnesota and Brian Swanson of Colorado College; defensemen Mike Crowley of Minnesota and Nick Naumenko of North Dakota and goaltender Karl Goehring of North Dakota. The five skaters combined for 337 goals, 680 assists and 1,017 during their collegiate careers while Goehring posted a .918 save percentage and a 2.23 GAA for the Fighting Sioux during his time in Grand Forks. The WCHA will announce its 1990s Coach of the Decade on Feb. 17 and its Player of the Decade on Feb. 18. The 1990s team is the fifth of seven squads that will be announced by the WCHA during the 2020-21 season. The WCHA will also honor an outstanding head coach and player from each decade as the league celebrates 70 Years of Excellence. Kraft, who was honored for a league-high third time this season as WCHA Offensive Player of the Week, helped Minnesota stake a claim to the title with a 4-3 win on Friday followed by a 7-3 win Saturday. It marks the 1Oth time overall in 1996-97 that a Golden Gopher hockey student­ athlete has been cited for league player of the week honors. Kraft, from Moorhead. Minn., scored five goals last weekend including a third-period hat trick as part of a six-goal frame in Saturday's title-clinching win. Kraft's six-point weekend brings his season totals to 24-18--42 on the season. He has totals of 10-7--17 in the team's last six home games, and finished fifth in the league in scoring. Kraft's final goal Saturday gives him 50 career goals and 125 career points in 121 games at the U of M, and the hat trick Saturday was the fourth of his career.
