Last Mile Connectivity Project ENVIRONMENTAL & SOCIAL SCREENING PROJECT REPORT FOR LAST MILE CONNECTIVITY PROJECT APRIL 2016 FINAL PROJECT REPORT Page | 1 Environmental & Social Screening Report The Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMP) has been prepared by Environment & Social Unit, Safety, Health & Environment Department (SHE), Kenya Power, Nairobi. The ESMP has been prepared based on an overall environmental and social assessment, which includes (i) General baseline information of project areas (ii) Evaluation of potential environmental and social impacts of different project components and subcomponents and (iii) Assessment of environmental practices in different ongoing and completed projects. The ESMP provides a guideline for the implementation of all mitigation measures and actions to respond to any anticipated project impacts, once the LMCP project begins.
