Five players that are particularly offensive-minded lead the front line, highlighted by Skyler Wilson (Yale recruit), middie Patrick McIntosh (Virginia), Dawson Wynne (Maryland), Thomas McIntire 1 CONOR O’NEILL 10 G (Holy Cross) and Connor Drake (Duke). Wilson and McIntosh are the playmakers that drive 2 LOGAN MCNANEY 12 G Salisbury’s offensive engine. One of the nation’s top goalies, Logan McNaney, possesses a high 3 ANDREW MAPSTONE 12 A lax IQ and is headed to Maryland. The defense features Miles Bollman (Michigan), Bobby Bivona 4 TIMMY LISCHER 12 M (Holy Cross), Luke Dilorio (Bucknell) and juniors Caden Kol (Syracuse) and Kaden Brothers 5 TYLER CARPENTER 12 D (Johns Hopkins). When Salisbury needs a possession, it relies on junior fogo Jaxon Popovich, a 6 DAWSON WYNNE 12 M Providence recruit, who wins 65% of his draws from the X. There’s more talent in the midfield with 7 PATRICK MCINTOSH 11 A junior Jack Neill (Villanova), Timmy Lischer (Air Force) and Michael Dilorio (Boston University). 8 JAKE GORALNIK 11 M 9 MILES BOLLMAN 12 D ROAD TO THE 2019 GEICO HIGH SCHOOL LACROSSE NATIONALS 10 BRYCE FAULSTICH 12 M There is no shortage of grueling games on Salisbury’s schedule especially when they compete in 11 KADEN BROTHERS 11 D Western New England Division I. The signature win this season was a 12-7 drubbing of nationally 12 MIKE DIIORIO 12 M ranked Brunswick (CT). In the game, Salisbury tallied six of the next seven goals for an 8-3 lead in 14 BRADLEY RIDER 12 A/M the opening half. Brunswick pulled with a goal in the third quarter but the Crimson Knights turned 15 CAYDEN BRODNAX 12 M up the attack late and took charge of the league title race. The slate opened with victories over 16 LUKE DIIORIO 12 D Georgetown Prep (MD), 12-7, on March 30 and Haverford School (PA), 12-10. Once the Crimson 17 CONNOR DRAKE 12 M Knights dispatched of those two nationally ranked squads, they dove head first into their league 18 BOBBY BIVONA 12 D with Berkshire School (MA), Trinity-Pawling (NY), Phillips Andover (MA), Westminster School 20 ANTHONY KAMBEITZ 11 M (CT), Loomis Chaffee (CT), Hotchkiss School (CT), Kent School (NY) and Taft School (CT). The 21 WILL FARRELL 12 M Crimson Knights were unbeaten heading into the regular season finale against Choate Rosemary 22 JACK HANAU 11 M (CT) on May 22. That sets up the Crimson Knights for another run here at Catholic University. 23 ALEX CARPENTER 10 A/M 24 WILL MCINTOSH 10 M IN THE CREASE 25 JOEY BRESETTE 11 A A year ago, the Crimson Knights made their debut in the GEICO High School Lacrosse Nationals 26 ETHAN HENNESSEY 12 M and advanced to the title game where it lost to The Hill Academy (ON), 15-12. Taite Cattoni (now 27 JAX POPOVICH 11 M at Johns Hopkins), who was shut out through three quarters, regained his scoring mojo when 28 MATT PEOPLES 11 M Salisbury needed it. His second-consecutive goal at 4:29 dipped the deficit to two goals, 13-11, 29 GRIFF WILSON 12 M but Hill scored twice last three minutes to win their second straight title. Salisbury went 2-1 in last 30 MAX BARTRON 11 A year’s tournament - they need only two wins in the new four-team format. 31 LUKE NEMSICK 10 D 32 SKY WILSON 12 A Next month, the Crimson Knights will be represented by three players at the 14th annual Under 33 LIAM O’HARA 11 D Armour All-American Lacrosse Game. That’s because middie Connor Drake, attack/middie Skyler 34 ZACK TAYLOR 10 D Wilson and goalie Logan McNaney were announced during the regular season. The game is scheduled for June 29 at Johns Hopkins’ Homewood Field. McNaney is a superior shot-stopper 35 TREY SCOTTI 11 D with lightning quick hands, Wilson possesses tremendous stick skills and athleticism, while Drake 38 DYLAN HEIN 11 D is a four-star (out of five) recruit known for his speed and agility. 41 DAVIS BURLESON 10 A 44 CADEN KOL 11 D Head coach Bobby Wynne is a jack-of-all-trades at Salisbury School. He’s titled the Director of 55 JACK NEILL 11 M Lacrosse Operations, but additionally is the school’s assistant headmaster and director of college 66 THOMAS MCINTIRE 12 A advising. Wynne was a middie at Hobart (Class of 1994) where he helped the Statesmen win 91 NICKY HAY 11 M two national championships. His son, Dawson, is senior on the team and will attend Maryland 99 ROBBY KASTEN 12 M in the fall. HEAD COACH: BOBBY WYNNE Raise your hand if you know where Salisbury School is located. Well, you wouldn’t be the only one that did not know the private all-male boarding school is situated in the rural northwest corner of @BURYLAX Connecticut near the state lines of Massachusetts and New York, and is about a 2-hour drive from New York City. The demanding college preparatory school was founded in 1901 and is nestled in the Berkshire Mountains. This year’s roster is chock full of talent as 24 players have committed to programs from Division 27 SEBASTIAN REYNOLDS 12 M I to junior college, At least two players will compete in the Under Armour All-American Game 40 BRYCE CORDINGLEY 12 A in June. The All Americans include last year’s GEICO Most Valuable Player Josh Zawada, a 3 MATT ACCHIONE 11 M Michigan-bound attack, who had 11 goals and 16 assists in 12 games, and Duke-recruit Dyson 93 GRAYDON HOGG 12 M Williams (28 goals, 12 assist, team-best 40 points in 12 games). The defense is a strong point 19 ADAM POITRAS 12 A and has been tested with Zach Young and Matthew Wright (also a LSM) both headed to North 25 JAMIE HUNT 11 D Carolina. Cornell-bound Jack Follows is the top 1-v-1 cover man on the squad. In the midfield, Adam Poltras (Loyola) and Graydon Hogg (Albany) are featured. Carson Moyer (Utah) and Jack 50 DREW MCGILL 11 G Boyden (Tufts) are dependable scorers and set-up men. In goal, junior James Turco leads the 29 BRITEN MARCELL 12 M team in saves and is spelled by John Wright (Delaware) and junior Drew McGill from Alabama. 24 ZACH YOUNG 12 D Josh Van Zhulen and Hayden Middlebrook handle faceoffs. 79 JOSH ZAWADA 12 A 66 ALEX GASTON 11 A 36 CARSON MOYER 12 M ROAD TO THE 2019 GEICO HIGH SCHOOL LACROSSE NATIONALS 51 DYSON WILLIAMS 12 A It is widely known that The Hill Academy plays an exclusive schedule against programs from the 52 WILL LUZ 12 M United States in order to be eligible for the national rankings and does not have a home game. That scheduling formula has benefitted head coach Brodie Merrill’s club in the last two seasons 46 JACK FOLLOWS 11 D with a pair of GEICO Nationals championships. The Pride opened the campaign with eight straight 88 GAVIN SNOW 11 A wins before dropping a 16-8 decision to Culver Military Academy (IN) on April 14. Hill rallied to peel 33 JAMES TURCO 11 G off wins over Brunswick School (CT), Salesianum (DE) and IMG Academy (FL). Hill also handed 16 JOSH VAN ZHULEN 12 F/O Calvert Hall (MD) its lone loss, 10-9 in overtime, on March 13. 10 JACK BOYDEN 12 M 26 JOHN WRIGHT 12 G IN THE CREASE 21 JUSTIN BERG 11 LSM 47 CALEB CREASOR 12 G The two-time defending champion Pride defeated Salisbury School, 15-12, in last year’s GEICO final. Josh Zawada, who was the most consistent on attack for three days, was named Most 11 TRENT JACKSON 12 D Valuable Player following his two-goal, five-assist night in the final. His teammate, Dylan Watson 4 GREG ELIJAH-BROWN 11 A sank four of his seven goals in the first half. 5 COLE COOK 12 LSM 1 RICHIE CONNELL 12 M In the inaugural event in 2017, Hill Academy topped local favorite Georgetown Prep (MD), 12-6. 34 HAYDEN MIDDLEBROOK 12 F/O Georgetown-bound Watson was named the championship game’s MVP after tallying four goals 14 CURTIS GODDARD 11 M on five shots. 13 MATT WRIGHT 12 LSM 15 JL VEREECKE 11 M One alumnus from a team in this year’s GEICO High School Lacrosse Nationals field was named 23 JONATHON GAGLIARDI 11 LSM NCAA D1 Media All-American by Inside Lacrosse.
