Maryland NEW YORK LIZARDS LACROSSE NYLIZARDS.COM | 516-742-1180 Week 15 Game Preview Week 15 Preview: Charlotte @ New York August 5, 2017 The New York Lizards head into their final regular season game of the season and battle the Charlotte Hounds in hopes of securing a playoff spot. Who: Charlotte Hounds at New York Lizards When: Saturday, August 5, 2017. 7:00pm EST Where: James M. Shuart Stadium, Hempstead, New York Watch: Lax Sports Network (Live Feed on Twitter @LizardsLacrosse) Week 14 Pregame Notes/Recap The New York Lizards (6-7) look to go for the season sweep of the Charlotte Hounds (6-7) in an attempt to fortify a position in the 2017 MLL Playoffs. New York made their quest for the fourth playoff spot difficult due to a poor defensive showing in their previous game against the Ohio Machine. In the 21-14 loss, Tommy Palasek was one of the bright spots, nabbing a hat trick in the contest, including the lone first quarter goal for the Lizards. Joe Walters and Rob Pannell both had themselves five point nights. Walters netted three goals and adding two assists, while Pannell score two goals and tallied three assists. With two goals and one assist in the loss, Will Manny is first in MLL in goals (33) and in a three-way tie for second in points (46). Greg Gurenlian put on a clinic in the faceoff circle, winning 25-of-37 faceoffs, in addition to scoring a goal in the third quarter. Usually one of the most consistent scorers for New York, Paul Rabil did not score a goal or have an assist, the second time this season he has been shut out. What to Look Out For It’s the Final Countdown! If New York is going to play another game in August, here’s what needs to happen: New York has to beat the Charlotte Hounds at home while the Ohio Machine must win against the Rochester Rattlers. If these scenarios occur, Rochester and New York will both be 7-7, however, the Lizards would go to the postseason over the Rattlers because they defeated Rochester in their only match earlier in the season. NEW YORK LIZARDS LACROSSE NYLIZARDS.COM | 516-742-1180 Tickets are still available for the Lizards’ contest with the Hounds. Call 1-855-NYLizards to purchase tickets for the game and learn more about the clinics. You can also purchase tickets online at www.nylizards.com/tickets. REVIEW 2013 - 2014 Dear Friend of Randall’s Island Park, Thank you for your interest in Randall’s Island Park. As Co-Chairs of the Randall’s Island Park Alliance (RIPA) Board of Trustees, we invite you to enjoy our 2013-2014 Review. RIPA’s continued success in reaching our goals comes through the great work and generosity of our many partners and supporters – a true Alliance in support of the Park’s programs, fields, facilities and natural areas. You will find in the following pages photos and acknowledgements of the many local program partners, donors, volunteers, elected officials and City and State agencies who have helped to bring us to this point. We are especially grateful to the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation for extraordinary support and guidance throughout our successful partnership of more than 20 years. Following its recent transformation, Randall’s Island Park’s visibility continues to grow, and more and more New Yorkers are visiting its shores. Our fellow Board Members, challenged and inspired by what the Park can be, continue to contribute countless hours and crucial support. In 2014 the Board undertook a comprehensive plan for improvement and expansion of our free public programs. Visits to the Island have nearly doubled in recent years, to approximately 3 million! We expect our increased free programming will continue to expand our universe of visitors and friends. Many thanks to these millions of fans who visit and who compliment the Park through positive feedback on our social media, sharing photos and observations, and who help us to grow our Alliance every day.
