Entertain. 38th Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition Semi-Finals Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 8pm The San Francisco Comedy Competition is one of the most prestigious comedy contests in North America—launching the careers of Ellen DeGeneres, Dana Carvey, and Rob Schneider, among many others. Hundreds of comedians line-up each year to compete, but only 30 are chosen. (In its first year, Robin Williams came in 2nd!) It’s an outrageously funny evening that has a well- earned reputation as an important showcase of promising young entertainers who will make it.
