This award is conferred on an agency that demonstrates significant improvement and has made a notable impact on the vitality of the St. Lucie community. St. Lucie Chamber of Commerce, Business and Industry Award for Non-Profit Business of the Year. The Links Incorporated, The Arts Community Service Award. Honors Boys & Girls Clubs community service and commitment and dedication to the Arts. Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Marketing and Communication (MAC) Award. A national award demonstrating significant achievements in the field of marketing and communications. Awarded for dedication to improving the lives of children in our area. 3 | FY 2015-2016 ANNUAL REPORT Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County CEO & BOARD PRESIDENT’S LETTER DEAR FRIENDS: As I began composing this letter, I realized how quickly my first year has passed as Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie OUR County. We are also very grateful to our generous donors, businesses, and leaders who have provided their time, talents, and treasures throughout the year. As we embark on this new year, the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County will continue to grow internally in terms of providing quality services to the youth who need us most. We will provide increased training to our youth development professionals and continue to review and improve our best practices to enhance the services we provide families in St. Lucie County. With 17 locations throughout the county, we are able to serve over 6,000 youth annually with our afterschool, summer and outreach programming such as truancy. Our vision is to provide a world class Club experience, assuring that success is within reach for every young person who walks through our doors, with Club members on track to graduate high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship and living healthy lifestyles. Belonging to a Boys & Girls Club nurtures young people’s self-esteem by instilling in them a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competence.
