In May 2009, Lucescu's Shakhtar became the first Ukrainian club to win the UEFA Cup. He suffered a heart attack that summer but swiftly returned to work, guiding the club to another league title at the end of the season and winning the domestic double in 2010/11, when Shakhtar also reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. • More success followed, Lucescu's team completing a hat-trick of domestic doubles in 2012/13 and making it five league titles in a row the following year. Lucescu stepped down in 2016 after 12 years in charge having won a sixth Ukrainian Cup to go with his eight league titles and, after a year at Zenit, succeeded Fatih Terim as Turkey coach in August 2017. Janne Andersson Date of birth: 29 September 1962 Nationality: Swedish Playing career: Alet (twice), Halmia, Laholm Coaching career: Alet, Halmstad (assistant, twice), Laholm, Halmstad, Örgryte, Norrköping, Sweden • Jan 'Janne' Andersson succeeded Erik Hamrén as Sweden coach after UEFA EURO 2016 having led Norrköping to their first Allsvenskan title in 26 years the previous autumn. • A footballer and handball player in his native Halmstad, Andersson became assistant coach to Stuart Baxter at the city's main club in 1990, going on to work under Tom Prahl and then Jonas Thern. • Andersson, who also coached lower-division teams Alet and Laholm, took the Halmstad reins himself in 2004 and in his first season in charge was named coach of the year in Sweden after steering Halmstad to second place. • After a brief spell at second-tier Örgryte in 2010, Andersson was named Norrköping coach the following year as they returned to the Allsvenskan, at first keeping them up then unexpectedly guiding them to the 2015 title. • Although his appointment as Sweden coach meant he missed out on leading Norrköping into UEFA Champions League qualifying, Andersson made up for that by taking Sweden to the 2018 FIFA World Cup via a famous play-off win against Italy and then guiding them to the quarter-finals in Russia. 5 Turkey - Sweden Saturday 17 November 2018 - 18.00CET (20.00 local time) Match press kit Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi Stadyumu, Konya Match officials Referee István Kovács (ROU) Assistant referees Vasile Florin Marinescu (ROU) , Ovidiu Artene (ROU) Additional assistant referees Marius Avram (ROU) , Horatiu Fesnic (ROU) Fourth official Alexandru Cerei (ROU) UEFA Delegate Philippe Prudhon (FRA) UEFA Referee observer Stefan Messner (AUT) Referee Name Date of birth UEFA matches István Kovács 16/09/1984 1 50 UEFA Nations League matches between the two teams No such matches refereed Other matches involving teams from either of the two countries involved in this match Stage Date Competition Home Away Result Venue reached 25/03/2011 U21 QR Turkey Liechtenstein 6-1 Sivas 07/08/2014 UEL 3QR Rosenborg BK Kardemir Karabükspor 1-1 Trondheim 18/08/2016 UEL PO FC Midtjylland Osmanlıspor 0-1 Herning 15/09/2016 UEL GS FC Zorya Luhansk Fenerbahçe SK 1-1 Odessa 02/08/2017 UCL 3QR İstanbul Başakşehir Club Brugge 2-0 Istanbul 19/10/2017 UEL GS Östersunds FK Athletic Club 2-2 Ostersund 16/08/2018 UEL 3QR Burnley FC İstanbul Başakşehir 1-0 Burnley 6 Turkey - Sweden Saturday 17 November 2018 - 18.00CET (20.00 local time) Match press kit Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi Stadyumu, Konya Competition facts What is the background to the UEFA Nations League?
